Chapter 18

Nick's p.o.v

I was walking to my apartment when I herd a noise from behind me. It was lie nails n a chalkboard but worse. I turn around and I see a guy with bright red hair and wild look in his eyes. He smirks at me and yells " What now pretty boy? I thought you were some tough shit but now? I see a pussy with his fangs filed. You gonna hit me or what?" I narrowed my eyes at him " Who the hell are you?" He laughed like a insane person before griping his face franticly and saying " Whoo am I? He never mention me did he? I'm his ex you see. My names Gideon and I'm going to beat you fucking face in" He ran at me and grabbed the back of my neck and shoved his knee into my face in mid air. I didn't have any time to think then he kicked me in the leg when he fell back down. He was grinning then his smile vanished for a second and he looked like a lost puppy dazed and confused but I could't see anything after words because I passed out..

When I woke up I was in a hospital with cords sticking out of my arms and my heart monitor beeping slowly. I looked around sleepily and found Zehn snuggling in my chest. I looked around the room to see Sky and Jamie sleeping on top of each other and cuddling. I smiled and saw my phone on a counter by the bed and I took a picture of them. I slowly put the phone back so I don't wake Zehn and kiss both his eye lids softly.I saw his eyes flutter open and he smiled at me " Good morning sleeping beauty." He smiled and yawned " Your one to talk you've been asleep for hours. I was so worried that you would never wake up." He smiled sadly " I would never leave with out saying bye to you cupcake." Then I herd Jamie and Sky awing and holding up there phones. " You're so cute!" " Oh quiet Jamie.." We all laughed then Zehn said " What happened to you any way?" It all got silent and I sighed " I got beat up by your ex Gideon.." His eyes widened and he got up from the bed and picked up his stuff from the room and mumbled " Why dose this always happen to me?" " What's wrong Zehn?" He looked up from picking up his coat " Oh nothing I have to go now though see you tomorrow.." He quickly left. " Sorry Nick but we have to pick up Ash from daycare bye." They left to." I was left alone in the room just staring up at space then I got a text from Zehn ' Goodbye Nick </3

Zehn's p.o.v

I walk to my car from the hospital and I see him. It's Gideon with the same sadistic smile and evil eye's he has always had. " Hey Zehn it's been a wile hasn't it?"

* Flashback*

I walk home to see the love of my life covered in blood and a knife in his hand " Giideon are you ok?!!?" He smiles at me that twisted grin for the first time " Where were you?" I frowned "Work, are you sure you're ok?" He grins " I just started painting " I looked around and saw the walls of are tiny apartment covered in blood that spelled out my name all along the walls " Did you take your pills today " Maybe but you look so good right now. He came closer " Gideon put the knife down." His eyes darkened " Why don't you think my paintings are pretty?!?!?" I quickly said " Yes there amazing I love them." He smiled " Good I thought you might..." He came closer to me with the knife. I woke up with blood all around me and Gideon holding on to me saying he's sorry over and over again.

I winced at the memory. He smiled and whispered " Good night princess."
