I parked at the barn, getting out. There were a few other cars parked and I was thankful my grandmother had called in for help.
I got out, a friend of mine walking over, a deep frown on his lips. Cayne wasn't actually part of the coven, he was a guard. He was the younger brother of one of the girls in the coven.
The rules for our coven were a bit different than normal than usual Covenants.
"Lily, who the hell is that?" Cayne asked, looking at the man in my back seat.
I smiled slightly, trying to come up with an answer. I couldn't tell him that I had seen him in my dreams.
Grandmother hadn't told the coven about my prophetic dreams yet. The fact that I developed my dreams meant that I was ready to take over as leader of the coven. She wanted to finish training me before announcing that I'd be taking over. Grandmother was getting too old to be considered a strong leader. I didn't believe this, but it was time for her to pass on the title of coven leader.
"I don't know. I found him in the meadow. He hasn't woken up yet and I'm getting nervous." I said, looking back at the man.
Cayne sighed softly. "Me and Rob will carry him inside. Your grandma wants to see you." He said, watching the man carefully as if he'd wake up and attack us all. Cayne was always extremely cautious.
I smiled softly and walked into the barn. The barn had been something we made that had been hidden behind two acres of trees. The trail to the barn was extremely tricky to get down if someone hadn't ever been down the trail before. There were multiple dead end trails made to hide the barn from others.
The barn had an exclusive floor for my grandmother and I. We practiced my offensive and defensive magic out here so we wouldn't draw attention.
I walked into the private room, closing the door and looked around. My grandmother had decorated it to her tastes. She had many things in the room that ranged from blessings to curses. From charms to strength certain magic and making other powers weaker.
Grandma walked in a few moments after me. She was about 75 which silver, greying hair. She was about 5'5 and she was extremely powerful.
"Lily, have you been able to identify this man? Has your mind shown you anything more about him?" She asked me gently.
"No grandma. I wish I knew him, but nothing is coming to me now. And I've never gotten this far in my dreams. I always woke up."
Grandma sighed softly and picked up one if the necklaces hanging in the wall. It had a black cloth with a pendant. The pendant had a white outline with a blue stone in the middle.
"What is this Grandma?" I asked, looking up at her. She smiled softly and helped me put it on. It rested right against my throat.
"This is my mother's amulet. She started passing it down as the amulet of the coven leader. It's yours now." She saud.
I looked up at her and smiled, gently touching amulet at the base of my throat. "Thank you grandma."
She smiled and kissed both of my cheeks, before leading me back downstairs.
The man that I'd brought with me was laying on a table with the coven standing in a circle around him. I knew that healing this man wouldn't be easy, depending on what exactly this man was.
Grandma took her place with me beside her. "This man was found by Lily at the meadow. He needs our help to continue breathing."
The coven's eyes went to the pendant at my neck. They knew what the pendant meant and they also knew exactly how this was going.
At the moment, my title in the coven didn't matter. What mattered was the fact that the man on the table needed help to be healed.
