August 26, 12:12 POV: Evan Fong
The safe space we had provided Delirious with, has turned into a full blown torture chamber. There were hooks, chains, broken light bulbs, blood, and people tied to chairs. All from the one picture. His back of the blue hoodie was doused in blood, sitting on a chair next to Owl, who had a knife in her chest, and a blindfold above a gag. She was dead. Deep down, I knew that Wildcat would never hurt her, but I didn't want to believe that Delirious would.
I lead everyone down to Delirious's safe spot. The door was bolstered shut, with large chains, and rust. How come I have never noticed this before? What has this man become?
"How are we going to get in there?" The depression in Nicolle's voice had boiled into a rage.
"I'll do it. Just show me where the bottom of the door is," Ohm said. He was holding Brock's hand. I hope after all of this, those two just get together.
"Here," Brock took Ohm's large hand and traced the bottom of the door with his finger. Ohm nodded to Brock, then transformed into a gas, and went underneath the door. We waited for a few seconds before the door clicked open. We swung the door open and waited for Ohm to reappear. As soon as he did, we walked into the room. It was dank, disgusting, and screamed the first time we met Delirious.
"Shut the FUCK up!" We heard Delirious screaming at the six men tied up.
"DELIRIOUS!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs at the man who meant everything to me. Delirious was a different kind of person. He was someone who would actually listen to your problems instead of just say "You're going to be alright," He was someone that you share a beer with, and sit on top of the roof and stargaze for hours with. I loved him. The hard thing is that I still do.
The men in chairs looked towards me, as did Delirious.
"Evan?" He asked. I took him out of his own world, and back to the one, we had tried to make perfect for him. The men shouted for us to help them. I felt vomit rising in my throat.
"What are you doing? Delirious, we gave everything to you. We did everything we could for you, and this is what you do?" I felt tears burning their way down my cheek.
"Don't you think I knew that? Evan, you changed everything for me, and I couldn't handle it! You were ruining your life, for a low life. Do you think I could handle that? That's why I kept up. If I knew I could never change, I could never accept your gifts, and I wouldn't be guilty of it. Evan, you had to of known that nothing could change with me?" He made it seem like it was my fault that I fell in love with him as a friend.
"Yes Delirious. I did. I thought you could change. You could change for us. I guess I should have known right?" I let the tears fall heavier. Nicolle had her hand on my arm. Delirious looked sad, but then angry.
"Yes, you SHOULD have known! You saw me first!" He shouted, twiddling his knife in his fingers.
"Delirious, if you think this is making this easier for me, its not," I groaned, rolling my head.
"I'm not doing it for you. Evan, I just killed six people. Wildcat is the only one left, and guess what? He isn't going to last very long!" Delirious cracked a wicked smile through his cracked mask.
"Delirious, they're, dead?" Tears stopped. I looked at them. Luke, Anthony, and Bryce were all lying lifeless in their chairs, with blood dripping from every Orpheus. If Brian got to them soon enough, he could heal them.
"Yeah. And I don't feel a damn bit of remorse for it. Face it, Evan. I'm gone. There was nothing you could have ever done. Why the FUCK do you think you guys call me Delirious?!" He shouted, pushing a knife against Wildcat's neck. Wildcat had tears streaking down his face.
