Relax

*Jezzabelle's POV*

I walked into school and I immediately got stares from everyone. I felt awkward.

I keep walking to my locker and noticed Jack he smiled at me. I smiled weakly.

He took out his phone then I kept walking.

My phone buzzed.

Jack:

Relax. Keep your chin up.

I turned around and gave him a real smile this time. He smirked and nodded.

I opened my locker and a sticky note fell out. I picked it up and it read:

Attention seeking whore. Taking my spotlight.

This was the work of Bethany. I rolled my eyes and continued getting my books.

I finally made it to lunch. At our table was Mace, Taylor, and Jack. No Elias. I felt bad.

I sat down. "Hey guys."

"Hey." they chorused.

"So Macy are we still going to that party?" I groaned.

"Yes!" She said.

"But why? Who has parties on Mondays?" I asked.

"I don't really know." She giggled, "But we're going."

"Boo!" I gave her a thumbs down. She laughed at me.

"Wait. You guys are going to Bethany's party?" Taylor asked.

"I'm being forced to!" I pointed out leaning back in my chair.

"Shut up Jay." Mace snapped. "And yeah."

I just laughed at her. She sounded desperate for fun.

"Why?" Jack asked.

"You tell me." I said.

"Because I want to go. We need a night out." Macy answered.

"Yeah I guess." I didn't want to argue.

I looked out the cafeteria window and saw Elias sitting on the hood of his truck, eating. I feel so bad he feels left out. We're still friends, right?

I turned my head back to group.

"Why don't you guys join us?" Macy asked them.

"Well I actually don't---" I saw Taylor kick Jack. I put my hand over my mouth hiding my smile.

"Oh we're going." Taylor said to Macy looking at her dazed.

"Yeah." Jack gave a crooked smile. I was still smiling at how Taylor just acted.

"Great!" Macy yelled excited.

"Totally." I said sarcastically and looked at Jack; he nodded.

I looked back at Elias he was still there. There was this urge in my to check on his brown-haired head.

I turned back again.

"Guys I'll see you later." I said about to get up.

"Jay no. Sit." Macy was warning me. She knew where I was looking and going.

"But he's sitting alone, outside." I said looking longingly at Elias then back.

"Yeah but you broke up with him." She reminded.

"But he was yours and my friend once too." I said back.

"Back it up. You and Elias broke up?" I looked up at Taylor's confused face. I looked to Jack, his eyes were wide.
