"Wait, what?" I stood up from my seat in the living room after my mother had called me and Veronica in for a 'talk'. I shook my head, crossing my arms, upset with the news we just received.

"Trinity, we can't stay here anymore." My mother spoke softly as if trying to calm me but I wasn't having it.

I looked over at my slightly older sister who seemed to be shocked at the news but calm about it. "So we're just going to move? Isn't that going to make us seem even more guilty?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Maybe mom's right, Trin." Veronica spoke up and I looked at her unbelivably. "And maybe it will make us look even more guilty but who cares anymore? Maybe it'll be so much easier starting over." She stood up and walked over to me, placing her hands on my shoulders as she smiled a bit.

I sighed and shrugged off her touch, "Will we at least go shopping before we leave?"

"Of course." She winked.

...

"Hey," Veronica nudged my shoulder, capturing my attention. I looked up from the article I was reading by the school I would be attending soon, to look up at her. "You'll love it here, okay?"

I just gave her a faint smile and glanced out the window greeted by the tall building we would be staying in. Not breaking my trance with the building, I got out of the car standing next to Veronica as our mother stood next to the both of us.

"Now brace yourselves the apartment's a bit small, a pied-a-terre, but-"

"Quality always." We all said in unison. This was a common phrase my mom would say so of course by now I can predict when she's about to repeat her famous line.

"Plus, it's the only piece of property in my name and not your father's." She sighed before walking into the building and we followed.

As soon as we walked in my mouth fell slightly open at the white marble walls and the glass tables. This wasn't even the apartment yet.

"Ms. Hermoine!" A man dressed up in assistant attire greeted my mother. I zoned out on most of their conversation looking around the building until my mom mentioned me.

"Smithers, I'd like to introduce you to my daughters Veronica and Trinity."

The man smiled before shaking Veronica's hand and then mine. I greeted him with a polite smile as he said, "It's a pleasure."

He kindly turned back to my mother with a grin, "I'll get the bags, oh and would you lovely ladies like some menus to order in?" He offered.

My mother shook her head holding up her hand as if saying, 'no need'. "Oh no I've been craving one of Pop Tate's cheeseburgers since noon. Is his Chock'lit Shoppe still open?" She asked him.

"What is a Chock'lit Shoppe and why does it sell burgers?" My sister squinted her eyes skeptically as I laughed.

...

"So do you like the apartment?" Veronica glanced over at me filling the silence between us so that it wasn't just our heels crushing the small gravel on the ground as we walked to this 'Chock'lit Shoppe'.

"Yea, it's cool I suppose." I gave her a simple answer while staring straight ahead.

She smiled a bit before looking down at the ground and sighing, "Look, I know you're still upset about moving but-"

"-V, it's fine. Really. I get it. We can't let dad drag us down with him. We have to move on, I understand." I nodded as I finally looked over to her and she grinned.

"Good." She opened the door to the restraunt that read, 'Pop's' and the small bell above us rang.

We both removed our hoods as we stepped inside. I was fascinated by the bright lights and the throwback design of the restraunt. I loved it. I looked over at my sister but she was fascinated by something else. More like someone.

I smirked at her, deciding to mess with her a bit, and walked over to the boy she was staring at and the girl sitting across from him. I could practically feel Veronica's glare from behind me but I chose to ignore it.

"Hey." The redheaded boy greeted me but seemed more focused on my sister.

"How are the onion rings here?" I asked with a slight tilt of my head staring into the boy's eyes hoping it would bother my sister enough for her to actually come over and meet the boy.

"So good." He answered but his eyes kept trailing over to Veronica so she finally walked up to us making me smirk. She stared over at the boy and began to speak with him and I looked over at the blonde.

I studied her facial expressions which told a story all by itself. It was very clear what was going on here. Me and Veronica had just interrupted a little date which was upsetting her.

I cleared my throat somewhat loudly before speaking, "V, I think we should get going. Don't you?" I said in the tone I always use when we need to leave for a reason but doesn't need to be spoken in front of others.

"Right, I'll see you two at school tomorrow."

...

So I suppose at Rivderdale everyone feels the need to stare into your soul as you walk down the hallways if they aren't familiar with you. But it's not like I'm complaining.

I guess you could say I love to be in the spotlight. A whistle knocked me out of my trance as I walked down the hallway confidently. I turned and saw a tall and somewhat handsome boy with dark hair and a backwards hat on smirking at me as he looked me up and down.

Hm. I'll save him for later.

I searched the hallways and noticed a boy who was staring at me with intriguement but I could tell I wasn't his type if you know what I mean. He looked kind and If i wasn't mistaken I was pretty sure he was the Sheriff's son, Kevin.

"Well hello, new girl." He smiled and walked up to me. "Lost?"

I shook my head, "Not exactly. I'm sure I'll find my way around." I shrugged as he nodded and continued to walk with me. "So what's the social scene like here? Any night clubs?" I asked in pure curiousity.

He tilted his head as if debating with himself, "A strip club called the Ho Zone and a tragic gay bar called Innuendo. Friday nights, football games and then tailgate parties at the Mallmart parking lot. Saturday night is movie night, regardless of whats playing at the Bijou and you better get there early because we don't have reserved seating in Riverdale. And Sunday nights.. thank God for HBO." He went on and finished with a satisfying sigh.

I nodded and smirked at him, impressed. I held out my hand, waiting for him to shake it, "Trinity Lodge."

"Kevin Keller." He smiled proudly and shook my hand. "Oh and there's a semi-formal at the end of this week but I heard it might be getting canceled because of what happend to Jason." He spoke casually.

I graoned and threw my head back slightly, more topics I have to learn. May as well just throw it onto the pile of mysterious things about this town. "Who's Jason and what happened to him?" I raised an eyebrow.

Kevin looked over at me before giving a small chuckle, "Oh, honey, you have so much to learn."
