Dom's POV

As Lauren wanted her time with Justin. I let her stay with him. She was losing sleep not being with him and it drove her insane that she couldn't be with him. Which left Kyle lost and confused. I was a grown man and love still was difficult to me. Letty and I never could agree on anything and she wasn't the most loyal. That was my fault. I fucked her up mentally when I cheated on her. And I will never forgive myself for that.

"Kyle." I state making him break out of his trance. "Let her go."

Kyle says nothing.

"Look man. She's a chick. You got to be the bigger person at the end of the day." I say patting him on the shoulder. But nothing seemed to cheer him up. I grab my keys off the table before glaring at him. "Come on Kyle. I am not going to let you sit here like this."

"Where are we going?" He asks puzzled with my plan. I smile. "You will see."

Cars were a relationship you could have without the car ever leaving you. That relationship between you and your car was special. They don't nag you, nor need much attention. And when you do decide to part ways, they don't take half of your shit. That's what made Justin and I become best friends. You saw this little sparkle in his eyes that made him happier than any toy would. As we finally made it to a yard, full of cars. Kyle gets out confused.

"What is this place?" He cocks a brow in confusion.

"You are going to pick a car and make how you want to." I smile crossing my arms over my chest.

"Most of these cars look like junk. And I have a truck." He says glancing around.

"But can you race in that truck?" I ask. "Look whatever car you choose. It's your car. And we can put all the enhancements on it back at the garage."

Kyle looks around still not fully knowing whether he should go through with this. Before looking back at me. "What makes you so sure that I even want to race?"

"I saw how you were last night. You had that adrenaline running through your veins. You were happy." I chuckle. "Look I live my life a quarter mile at a time."

Kyle remains quiet.

"For those 10 seconds or less.." I trail off. "I am free."

Kyle understanding as he nods with a smile glancing around at the lot once more.

Justin's POV

Opening my eyes. I see the girl that meant the most to me. And still was there for me at the end of the day. I smile as she smiles back. I didn't deserve her. She doesn't belong to anyone and I think that's the most divine thing about her. She found love within herself and that was the most beautiful thing.

"Hunny, I am so glad you are okay." I see my mom grin as my brother Jaxon and Jazzy were with her. With my dad standing strongly in the back.

"Who did this?" My brother spat. "He's dead when I get my hands on him."

"Calm down son." My dad stated with a chuckle. "We have to do something as a family."

"Who did this to you baby?" My mom asks caressing my forehead.

Weakly pulling away. "I am fine." I hiss. "And I can take care of this bullshit myself."

"No. We are stronger together." My dad says through his gritted teeth. "This person wants you dead."

"This has nothing to do with the family dad. This is between this Miami gang and the Assassins." I roar. "And I want to kill the leader myself. Not you, not Dom, not gramps, not Jaxon, and definitely not Jason." I hiss. "So drop it. I can take care of myself."
