Chapter 9

Elizabeth
Today was the day. The day Kade and I tell my parents that we are dating. "We'll be back sometime tonight bro" Kade told Jake as we were leaving. I heard him tell Kade, "Take care of her bro and don't go into gift shops because she'll want everything".

That's cute and yeah it's true. I told myself. I laughed and we left to the airport. "I'm getting nervous" Kade said. "Me too babe but it's too late to back out" I said. We got to the airport pretty soon and checked in and did all that boring stuff.

Kade
Liz and I were now waiting for our plane to take off. She laid her head on me. "I love you Liz" I told her. "I love you too" she replied.

"Awe man I'm feeling like a third wheel and I don't even know you guys" a guy next to me said. Liz and I just laughed. Poor guy he has to deal with us for the whole flight.

Elizabeth
We got off the plane and headed straight to my moms house. I had texted her what she was doing once we landed. She said that my dad was helping her edit a video.

That's so cute. I love how my parents are still there for each other and talk even when they are divorced. She has no idea that I'm here so this should be great. "Babe do you have her camera and stuff?" I asked him. "Of course what kind of person would I be if I forgot the camera" he said.

Kade is always with a camera no joke. We walked in my house. "Mom! Dad!" I yelled as I went and hugged my parents. "Ahh!" My mom yelled. "What in the world!" My dad yelled. This was cute. "Surprise!" I said.

That's when Kade came in. "Oh hey Kade" my mom said. They greeted each other and all. "So we thought that we should surprise you with your very own vlogging camera!" Kade said handing my mom her new camera.

"What! This is great! My Pamsters will now be happy!" She said getting excited. Everything is going well so far. She then started vlogging right away with my dad. They had matching cameras which I thought was great and funny.

"Mom, Dad there is also another reason on why I came all this way and didn't call you instead" I told them. "That's why I'm here as well" Kade said. We all sat down. "What's going on is everything okay?" They asked.

"Yeah actually life is perfect right now" I said. "I don't know how to say this but your daughter and I have been dating for about a month already. We wanted to tell you guys sooner but didn't know how you would react. I just want to know if I have your permission to be with your daughter" Kade said.

Moment of truth. "Lizzy are you even sure that you are ready for a new relationship after what happened?" My mom asked. "Yes I am ready, at first I wasn't but now I am" I told her. "I really care and love Elizabeth I hope you understand.

"You do know that she is a minor right Kade? We don't hate you or anything you are an amazing guy and we all know that but she's still a minor" my dad said. Uh oh overprotective father. "Yes I completely understand that sir" Kade answered.

"For me I have no problem with you being with my daughter. If anything goes wrong between you too anything at all that's bad you can face some time in jail. I'm not trying to scare you but just keep that in mind" my dad said.

"At least until she's 18 you won't need to worry but I fully accept you guys as well" my mom said. We talked about this for over an hour. It was making me really bored but in the end they agreed on letting me and Kade date. It was great news that we were not expecting at all.

"Whoah that was scary but I'm glad that they accept us together" I told Liz. "Me too!" she replied. It was soon time for our flight back home that night. We got home at around 10pm.
