The private hospital room was dark, gloomy even. A heavy, stifling curtain seemed to drape the white and cheery blue walls, making the room more depressing than the others. A document sheet hung at the foot of the bed, detailing the patients specifics.
Drug over-dose, dehydration, vitamin deficiency...
The sheets bundled over the man's feet, with his hands clutching the covers. His skin was sickly pale, and frail. His straight face, with it's now hollowed cheeks, was impassive as her stared at the ceiling. He seemed almost life less. Empty. Void.
A tornado of thoughts swirled in his head; ranging from angry, to misery and finally desperation and longing.
The door opened, and he sighed, closing his eyes.
"You can't keep doing this to yourself. You won't get her back if you're a dead man." The blonde sat in the chair by the bed, "You can't continue like this, Van."
