"No, it's un-wise of that decision. We need a more concrete strategy, guys, not a sudden straight-ahead-and-fight plan." I suggested to the others.
"Actually, that was a good plan Athena, or if you got something else on your sleeve, that is." Victoria, or Tori (as I'd like to call her) pointed out.
"The goddess of wisdom is with me, guys, trust me with this. Here, I got this kind of strategy." I said as I laid out my plan.
Today, we are out on the private lot my parents own to celebrate our annual festivities. I know, I know, I'm too old for this but since this is a traditional family thing, I got to go with the flow. We are having our seventh and last event for today known as "Capture the Flag" but it's not like the usual ones wherein you just capture the opponent's flag, our version's different. Before you even capture the opponent's flag, you have to complete as least 20 missions to succeed. I know right? But it's already enough to test our wits.
I told them my plan after a few minutes of critical thinking and I'm a hundred percent sure that we will succeed again with this plan of mine because the goddess of wisdom (which is Athena in Greek mythology) is always by my side.
"Spread out, Ares and the rest I've assigned." I told them as we started to execute our plan.
After what seems to be like an hour and a half, the attack unit of our team succeeded and thus, we won again for this year's seventh event.
"Athena should be in our team, you know. They always win the last event and the other events too." Apollo said, gasping for air. "Can't we have a random mixed up team next year, Dad?" He added while asking his dad. "We'll think about that matter, son. As for now, you did a great job and also Athena's team too." Uncle Herald, Apollo's dad and Auntie Steph's husband said while he gave me a pat on the head.
"Aiming for the streak, no?" Devon said as he surprisingly went to give me a headlock. This brother of mine, really. "Yeah, I am and I will never lose that streak. I mean, we've won five times in a row now with my guidance. So, I can't afford our streak to lose that easily." I said with a flair.
"Now that's Athena you're talking about. Come on, let's go celebrate our victory back at home." Althea said out of nowhere.
As for the celebration, I choose to just read than to hang out 'cause I most likely choose to formulate more strategies than just to hang out. But since I'm doing this for the defending streak of my team in the annual festivities, I got no choice than just to celebrate the winning streak.
"Oh, Athena, you're here! Come on, let's celebrate the win!" Tori called for me to join in the fun here in the pavilion.
"Can you wake up Larkin for a moment? I'd like a full participation on this feast." Artemis just asked me as she pointed out Larkin sleeping in the side of the pavilion. Of course, since I also want a full participation on this feast, guess I should wake him up. Plus, the feast isn't starting yet so it's better if I have everyone's attention later.
"Larkin? Larkin?" I continued calling his name while I tapped for him to wake up. After a few seconds, he woke up and thanked me for waking him up. "Do you need an upside-down torch again?" I asked him to make sure he's awake. "No need, Athena. Just the presence of someone scary would keep me awake." He said as his eyes motioned for Leslie.
Yeah, Leslie's presence is indeed scary and it is a good alternative for Larkin's upside-down torches. One wrong move you make to Leslie and you'll sure drown in the ninth circle of hell.
I gathered everyone's attention to start the feast and held a bit of prayer before digging into the food. No kidding, Mom's cooking never cease to amaze me.
