Chasing happiness or the things that will provide it, brings a certain degree of purpose. And in the end, accomplishing those degrees is what brings happiness.
In hindsight, self-accomplishment that is recognized by other people is the purest form of reward. It's all in pursuit of an ever evolving life, far from stagnation that plaques idle thinkers.
