I didn't know I slept that long until my phone rang. I look at my phone and see Jasmine calling and I swipe to answer, "Hi, Jas."
"Hi babe, how are you doing?"
"I'm good, I feel a lot better."
"Yeah, I've heard you passed out."
"Wow, a story can spread fast."
"Yeah it can." She laughs.
"So tell me how are things with Hunter?"
"We doing super and I'm soooo glad Ryan went with you. You two are so perfect together."
"Please stop." I smile.
"I can tell you smiling right now. Did I tell you that your smile gives Ryan goosebumps?"
"What? No." I say sitting up against my pillows.
"Yeah, he called me."
"He called you?"
"Yeah, he said he didn't know what to do, so I gave him advice. You guys are going somewhere right?"
"Yeah, he mentioned something like that. Listen I have to go now." I say getting up.
"Okay babe. Chat soon." She says and than we hung up.
I make my way to my bathroom and take a shower. After showering I apply some lotion and the towel is still tight around me.
I exit the bathroom and Ryan is sitting on my bed, "What are you doing?" I ask.
"Just waiting for you." He says smiling.
"Well you can wait downstairs." I say.
"Lydia, do you know how much I love you." He says coming closer to me.
"Oh my god, here we go again." I roll my eyes.
"Okay okay." He says stopping in front of me. He places a kiss on my forehead, "I'll see you downstairs."
Did he just give me goosebumps? No, I've got this all wrong. I don't feel something for Ryan.
Or do I?
I go through my closet and find a nice blue fitted skinny jeans and a white vest that I tug in my jeans. I high heel boot will do.
My hair is nice and long and curly. I apply some touch up on my face.
I go downstairs and Ryan is chatting to my mom, "Honey." My mom says as she stands up from the sofa and comes towards me, hugging me.
She whisper down my ear, "Don't turn him down, I like him a lot."
"I don't know mom." I say.
"Its all up to you." She says and Ryan stands up, "Ready?" He asks and I nod.
We head out and he opens the door for me and I get in. He goes over to the drivers seat and we drive off.
We stop at a school, "A school?" I ask turning to face him.
"Not just any school." He says smirking.
He gets out and opens the door for me and I get out. We head inside and I see a lot of kids.
"These kids are forster children." He says pointing to a little girl, "That's Tania and she was found sleeping on the street at the age of three."
"Oh wow." I say. "People are so cruel."
"I agree and I've been helping out here since I was little."
"What? No, you can't be serious."
"Yeah, I am and I saw you one day helping this other girl at college and I knew you had a passion for teaching."
"I want to become a doctor." I say putting my hair behind my ear.
"Lydia, you pass out when you see blood and that's not good. You have a passion for kids and I saw how that girl smiled after you helped her. I know this may look like I'm destroying your dream, but I'm not. I'm only trying to show you who you really are and who you might become."
"You say the sweetest things."
"Wait. Aren't you going to argue?" He asks.
"No, you're right. I'm going to study for a teacher." I say as I pick up the kid and stroke her hair.
"See how she likes it?"
"Yes, Ryan. Don't rub it in." I laugh.
"Good, after this we going for lunch." He says and I smile.
Is he the one?
