***Bea's POV
"We're gonna greet Gramma and Grandpa at the door," Harry says in his 'Dadda voice,' gently bouncing Janelle in his arms. "We'll be right back, Mummy."
"Okay, Dadda," I knowingly say with a wave to my happy baby girl who waved to me first and I keep waving until Harry follows Ferris out of the kitchen.
Oh my God, I love those three so much. And Harry's so sexy right now- no, focus, Bea. It's not the time. Yeah, that was earlier. Hehe. Alright alright. Do I have everything ready? Let's see, the pancakes are done, the turkey sausage is keeping warm and I've already sliced the bananas...what am I missing? Oh!
"The syrup and peanut butter," I say out loud to myself and hurriedly walk over to the pantry, smiling at the sound of my girls' laughter.
The fact that my daughters have a wonderful relationship with both sets of their grandparents makes me incredibly happy. It's a bittersweet feeling, though, because I know they would've had the same lovely relationship with Sebastian.
It's been five years since our beautiful baby boy passed away and it doesn't seem possible. It honestly feels like we just brought him home from the hospital, but I guess that's because I think about him and talk to him every day.
The pain of losing Sebastian will always be with me, but knowing I'm not alone makes the pain bearable.
And I honestly believe that if Harry hadn't suggested couple's therapy, we wouldn't be together.
Harry and I probably would've gotten a divorce, scarred Ferris for life and there would be no Janelle. Oh God, I can't imagine my life without my little Jelly Bean.
My sweet baby girl's giggles bring me back to the moment as I set the condiments on the kitchen island and I look over to see my wonderful in-laws walk into the kitchen, each with a grandkid in their arms.
"Good morning, Robin," I greet him with a smile. "I see Ferris has already got you."
"G'morning, Bea and it's quite alright because she's my buddy. Right, Ferris?"
"Yeah! Lemme show you my, my, my sketchbook, Grandpa," she happily says and he sets her down. "Dad taught me how to, to, to draw two different flowers."
Aw, she's stuttering again. She must be so excited that they're here.
While Ferris and Robin take a seat at the dining table, Anne walks over to me with Janelle in her arms. She gently sways her back and forth while providing fun sound effects and earning quite a few giggles from Janelle.
"Is Gramma being silly?" I ask with a big smile and she reaches out for me. "Okay, c'mere, sweet baby and good morning to you, Anne."
"Good morning, Bea, oh, don't you look pretty," Anne says, eyeing me from head to toe and I let out an unbelieving laugh.
"I'm dressed comfortably for our flight. It's nothing special," I shake my head and she cups my cheeks to make me look in her eyes.
"You look pretty, Beatrice," she repeats her words but with more meaning this time and I thank her.
I guess she knows I need to hear it.
"So do you, Anne," I give her a small smile and look to Janelle, "and so do you, sweet baby," I kiss her head and she claps. "Alright, so who's hungry?"
"I'm starving, Mom, and oh Grandpa! I helped Mom by stirring the, the, the pancake batter."
"Good job, buddy," Robin praises her and they high five.
