I woke up to the sound of beeping and voices. I rolled over and pushed my hair out of my eyes, yawning. There were three nurses around Harry's bed all talking over each other. I was still in a daise as I jumped up from the couch and listened to the nurses.

This can't be happening. I thought to myself as silent tears streaked down my cheeks.

The nurses and now doctor were trying everything to make him breathe. I was sobbing on the ground, too shocked to even move.

"Come with me." someone said through all the confusion.

I looked up and saw a nurse holding her hand out to me. I took it and followed her out the door.

She led me to the wall beside his room and sat down on the floor. I followed suit and wrapped my arms around my knees. I could hear Harry's coughing from outside the room.

"He can't breathe." she told me quietly.

"What?" I choked out.

Harry can't die. He has to live.

"He isn't going to make it. I'm so sorry." she replied softly.

My small whimpers turned into sobs as I heard the heart monitor beep continuously.

"Harry..." I cried.

I tried to get up but stumbled in the process. The nurse sitting next to me helped me up.

"I want to go se him." I mumbled.

"I don't think that is a good idea." the nurse advised.

She started to lead me the other way.

"I SAID I WANT TO GO SEE HIM!" I screamed and pulled my arm from her grasp.

I ran back down the hall, not stopping until I reached the room. Out of breathe, I opened the door and saw his pale face just as the nurses put the sheet over his head.

The fire inside me that had been burning so brightly because of him went out.
