Be With You

Chapter 5

School started, and you were all prepared for the school showcase. You all performed the same thing as you did during the audition. After the showcase was a little party, and you noticed a group of men came up to Baekhyun and smiled.

"Hey, i saw you sing up there. You're really good! I'm Chanyeol by the way," a tall guy with a slightly creepy smile offered his hand. Baekhyun took it and gave him a handshake.

"I'm Baekhyun. This is my best friend, ___," he introduced.

"Nice to meet you!" He said. "Meet my gang." He pointed to another very tall guy who looked familiar to you. "His name is Kris," Chanyeol said. Right! Tha same tall guy who asked if it was his turn yet during the audition. Then, he pointed to the guy next to him. He looked really young and innocent. "And here's Luhan." He smiled at you, and you blushed before you smiled back. "Then here's our leader," he pointed at the short, fair, young man.

"Hi, I'm Suho," he introduced himself. "And our gang is called EXO, by the way."

"Nice to meet you all!" Baekhyun said.

"I saw your performance. I think you should join our band. We need a very good vocalist, and you are perfect for it." Suho said.

"Ah, well I really would love to, but I can't." He said as he looked at you, giving you an awkward smile. "We already are a duo." he gestured his hand towards you.

"Well she can join as well if she wants to. She's a good singer. And she's pretty too." Luhan said, mumbling the last sentence.

"Thanks." You chuckled, and you saw him blush.

"So do you want to hang out with us after school?" Suho asked.

Baekhyun glanced at you asking for permission, since you two always went home together. You nodded at him giving him an okay.

Baekhyun turned to the guys and said, "Uhh, sure! Why not?" He chuckled.

"Assa!" The guys cheered. Chanyeol hurriedly put his arm around baekhyun's neck and dragged him.

"H-hold on, I thought you said after school?" Baekhyun was surprised and turned to look at you, then back to Chanyeol.

"Yeah. School is done, isn't it?" Chanyeol replied.

Baekhyun gave you another quick glance. You nodded at him and mouthed "go ahead." He waved at you while smiling and said, "See you later ___-yah." You waved back at him.

You walked to your locker with quite a heavy feeling. It had been a while since you walked home alone. This would be the first in a long time that you wouldn't be going home with Baekhyun.

"It's okay, __. He should spend some time with new people too," you whispered and shook your negative thoughts away.

Meanwhile, Baekhyun and the gang decided to hang out at Chanyeol's house. On their way out, Chanyeol called out to his little sister, Chanmi. She was a fair, petite girl with a cute fashion sense.

"Chanmi-yah! Wanna hang out with us?" Chanyeol asked.

"Sure! But is it fine if Yuri would come too?"

"No problem. Let's go!"

The girls giggled and joined the group. Baekhyun felt quite awkward with the atmosphere and overwhelmed as well. This was a totally new environment for him. He never expected to meet new people during the first week of school.

The group finally arrived at the place. Laughters filled the huge and fancy living room. Loud music was playing as they all joked around and munched on snacks. Baekhyun quickly adapted with the new environment, and he easily became comfortable around them. The guys, especially Chanyeol, were really nice and talked to him a lot. The girls, being the fangirls they were, were showing never ending affection to him.
