Reach For Me (A Silent Voice Afterstory Fanfiction)

Chapter 7

   "Where am I?"

   I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping. I was in a familiar place, with such a familiar vibe. I looked around the room as my natural response, and there I saw Nishimiya lying beside me. She was still asleep, her ruffly hair covering almost her whole face and her body covered by a blanket.

   Wait, what? 

   Before I was able to get out of the room, I felt a slight tug near my legs. It was Nishimiya. She was awake.

"Good morning, Shoya. How was your sleep?"

"It was fine, Nishimiya. But before that, can you please tell me what happened here? Why am I here on the bed with you?"

She went silent. I saw her face flutter a bright red.

"Y-Y-You!!!..... YOU DUMMY!"

   Girls' slaps are sure nasty. I regret saying those words to her.

"Y-You were the one who asked if we could sleep together..... W-W-Why would you do this to me Shoya?!"

   Thanks to what she said, now I remember what happened last night. I clearly remember what happened. Like every single detail. But I doubt I could tell what really happened. It was kinda... up close.

   But to hell with it. It has been said and done, but I guess trying to recall what happened won't hurt.

"I'd really want to call you S-Shoya for such a long time. Would it be fine if I would address you as that, S-Shoya-kun? Teehee~"

"Any name's fine with me. I'd also honestly want to call you by your first name, Shoko."

"S-So, S-Shoya-kun..."

"Shoya's fine with me."

"Okay, Shoya. So, what do you plan to do now?"

"I guess bringing you home would be the first priority. It's already late, after all."

"Alright. Thank you, Shoya."

"Sure, Shoko. Anything for you."

"Why, you!..."

   We both laughed. When we arrived at Nishimiya's (Wait, I mean Shoko's) home, I stopped at her gate and waved her goodbye. As I was about to head home, heavy rain started to fall. And so, I was invited to sleep in Shoko's place. I explained everything that happened to all the people who haven't heard the (good) news, and I was fortunately offered to sleep in Shoko's quarters. I also told my mom about the situation, and she accepted.

   And that's where things started to get naughty.

Back to the present...

"W-Wait, Shoya. We have to prepare breakfast for Mom and Yuzuru."

   Oh, right. It's already late into the morning.

   We got dressed right after, and went both to the dining area. She prepared breakfast for all of us, while I helped clean up the dining and living room. When Aunt and Yuzuru came out of their respective rooms, they looked at us in awe.

"What made you guys so productive this early in the morning? Did something happen last night?"

"No. Nothing happened Mom." signed Shoko.

"Haha, oh I was just teasing. Of course you won't. You guys just were together for a couple of hours. It's still too early for that."

  Of course, we both knew that we lied. WE HAD TO. 

  Anyways, we ate a heartily breakfast  and I headed back home to get help Mom get ready for some things.

"So, how was Auntie? Yuzuru and Nishimiya too?"

"They're all fine, Mom."

"Oh, I forgot. I was given 8 tickets going to Nagoya. I gave the three to your sister and Pedro, and said that they could hang out separately from us in Nagoya. So, would you mind if you could tell the Nishimiya's if they would be able to come with us for 3 days? The emperor declared Monday and Tuesday a national holiday, after all. I think it was because of the ASEAN being held here in our city."

"Sure, Mom. No problem."

   Surprisingly, after I texted Nishi- I mean Shoko, they all both agreed. And so, this was the start of our official dating as a couple.

//Sorry for the delay, again. School stuff, and all that. I hope you understand. This chapter is a bit rushed, but regardless, please enjoy what I have prepared. *rubs hands*

*Auntie there is referred to Nishimiya's mom. Here in the Philippines, we call the parents of our peers "Tita" or "Tito" in respect; these referring to both Auntie and Uncle respectively.
