Agent. That is not surprising at all. For Jessica Stark, Tony Stark's daughter to be an agent at SHIELD because it's in the blood, Peter guessed. But, out of many things in life, why would Jessica wants to be an agent? She could be a doctor or a physicist. She is as genius as her father. Especially when she ranted about being at normal school. Or be a billionaire. Her parents is running a company.
Training session was exhausting especially now that Jessica was incharge instead of Tony. While Tony keeps everything cool and steady, Jessica makes it thrice harder and stricker. She makes him do what he had done with Tony. She makes him do what Tony had never asked him to do. For every session, she makes Peter do extra two times.
"I've done that with Mr Stark," Peter said, glaring at Jessica. Training was supposed to finish in five minutes, but he's still on the yoga mat.
"I don't care," replied Jessica, eyeing her father who was standing not far from them with his arms crossed on his chest. He was watching. He was listening. Everything Jessica did has a mark and every mark given by her father is important. She wants to be an agent so bad, she can't miss the chance.
Peter groaned, rolled his eyes. His heart was on fire that he could make Jessica cry right then and there for torturing him. Yes, he understands that Jessica is in-training. She's being rated and valued. Supervised by her own father doesn't mean it's getting her easier to pass the test, but that doesn't necesserily meant she has to make the training session ten times harder.
Sighing, he sat on the yoga mat, doing whatever Jessica intructs him to do.
Not long after that, they were cooling down. Training is finished and Peter can finally take a relieved breath.
"You'll be staying here tonight?" Tony asked her daughter. For the first time ever, he hated Tony. Why does he have to be nice to Jessica when she had, basically, tortured him awhile ago? Why did he allow Jessica do what they've done together? Why didn't he stop Jessica when she has gone too far during training? He can't do that. He'd said himself that Jessica has to be professional. Why doesn't he?
Peter continued collecting his water bottle after emptying it. He wiped his sweaty face, changed his training tee into another clean t-shirt. He's so mad that he's thinking to have some walk before going home. He needs something to distract himself before he bursrts in front of Aunt May.
"Yeah, I've got stuff to do," Jessica answered. "You're going straight home?"
"I think so. After sending Peter."
"Oh, that's okay, Mr Stark," Peter cut in. "I need to do some grocery shopping for Aunt May."
"Spiderman," Jessica smirks, "do grocery shopping for his aunt. How good he is."
Peter rolled his eyes for only-God-knows-how-many times. "You might want to watch your mouth, Jessica," he said. His voice was low and rough. "I'm afraid next time there'll be no chance given."
"I see you dare to argue with me lately."
"Someone like you, they don't just want to argue," Peter counters, "they'd want to kill you."
Jessica smirks. "I think it is you who needs to watch you mouth. Afraid there'll be no training session for you in the future."
"Can't believe you care." Peter shrugged, grabbing his bag by its handle. "I've trained myself previously, then with your father and I was doing great. It was until you came."
Peter felt satisfied when he saw Jessica's face flushed. She looks like she's holding back her anger, try to be calm. But, of course, as a Stark who can?
