Walking into Eliza's hospital room, Rubin sucked in a breath nervously; he couldn't bear the thought of her being hurt in any way. Not wanting to disturb her slumber, he creeped slowly over to Eliza's bedside, Anna peacefully asleep in his arms. He stared at his two girls, loving the feeling of them all being together, even if one was hurt and they were both passed out.

He stroked Eliza's face, her skin feeling like silk under his fingertips. Her eyes flickered and Rubin sucked in a breath of anticipation, hoping she would wake up and he would be able to see her beautiful blue gray eyes. He pulled a chair closer to the bedside and sat down, setting Abby on his lap. She curled up on his lap and he petted her head.

Eliza's eyes snapped open and she groaned in pain. "Are you alright? Does anything hurt?" he asked panicking slightly, running his eyes over the length of her body, checking for any cuts or bruises. She had some on her arms and a bruise on her left thigh.

He reached out and touched the bruise on her leg; she flinched and sucked in a breath. Rubin quickly moved his finger and apologized. "It's okay, just a little sore." she explained to him smiling at his scared expression.

He stared into her beautiful eyes, hypnotised at the beauty of his mate.

Abby groaned and shuffled in Rubin's lap, she opened her eyes and yawned looking over at her mother. "Mommy? Mommy, are you okay?" Anna jumped out of Rubin's lap and onto the bed. Rubin reached out and caught her just as she was going to land on her mother's stomach.

"You can't do that, munchkin, your mommy is hurt very much on her tummy and if you jump on it, your mommy is gonna cry. You want your mommy to cry?" Rubin chastised her. She looked at her mother and apologized "I'm sorry mommy; I no want you to cry"

"Come here, monkey" Eliza held out her sore arms for her baby and Anna soon clambered up on the bed. "I don't-"Rubin began to protest, but Liz quickly silenced him with a look. She placed Abbey on the side of the bed where there was little space available.

"I'm surprised you're here Rubin? Why are you here? How did you find me? I left you at the gas station." Eliza fired off questions and Rubin stopped her by answering them. "When you left I finished with my gas and was heading to the Laundromat which was in the same direction you were going in. I saw your car totaled and I started to look for you I the rubble. I found you and took you to the hospital."

The door suddenly busted open, Rubin hopped up standing protectively in front of his new family. Half of the pack filed in. Liam was in front of the group and immediately started to speak, "we came as soon as we heard, is your ma-, I mean friend alright?" he asked and the pack nodded anxiously, wondering the exact same thing.

"Who are all these people Rubin? Eliza questioned and Anna hid in Eliza's side making her squirm uncomfortably" these are my..... uhhh...... family" he quickly thought up an excuse, hating that he had to lie to her, but he knew he would be able to tell her in due time. She nodded, accepting his excuse.

"It's very nice to meet you all, I guess you can make yourself at...... urr......home" she said smiling brightly and looking around the small hospital room.

The pack squished up on the couches and some chairs, resting the flowers and stuffed animals on the tables next to the bed.

Everyone began to chat excitedly to one another, asking questions to Eliza; even Anna got up and was running around with some of the other pack children. "When did you and Rubin meet?" Was asked by a pack mate. "Where did you guys meet?" Was asked by another. "When do you and Rubin plan on getting married?" Was asked by a curious teenager. Eliza choked on the water that she was in the middle of swallowing. Rubin patted her back and when she stopped coughing she signaled him to stop. "Urg.... uhh... we... ummm" One of the nurses came in, interrupting Eliza's 'answer'.

She announced that visiting hours were over. The pack groaned and got up giving hugs and their goodbyes to Eliza and Anna.

When everyone was out Eliza sighed in exhaustion. "Wow, you have a big family" she said smiling beautifully. "Yeah and that not even all of the" Rubin laughed proudly thinking of his packs multitude and how long it took to get that much people.

Rubin's pack started out with five people, he, Liam, a man called Parker, parkers mate, and there child were the first people in his pack. Many people heard about his pack and its ferocity and kindness and they decided they wanted to be in that pack, so they left their pack; most of the packs in America were cruel and treated their members like slaves.

Five years later his pack was the largest in America.

Rubin snapped out of his walk down memory lane when Eliza tapped him "you can leave Rubin, I'm fine" she said. "No, I'll stay just in case you.... Die in your sleep, the doctor did say you had a concussion" he came up with an excuse, so he could stay with her for a while longer.

She accepted this and they started to chat, Anna drifted off to sleep and soon after so did Eliza. He sat next to the bed for a while just watching his two angels. He kissed their foreheads and pulled out the couch bed and drifted off to sleep on the uncomfortable cot.
