Chapter 11
"Oh my god, I look like a mess." Eliza whispered fearfully. The last time she saw them she also looked horrible with no makeup and frizzy hair. Eliza hoped that her horrific appearance wouldn't become a pattern when meeting Rubin's family.
"You look beautiful Angel, you always look beautiful." Rubin pecked Eliza on the lips and took her hand, making Eliza's fears melt away. All three of them walked into the dining room, actually Anna more like ran to the kids table to greet some of the kids she met in the hospital.
Eliza sucked in a breath and put on one of her warmest smiles brushing down her hair and greeting members of the pack she remembered seeing. Rubin watched over his mate and cub proudly, liking the fact that they got along so greatly with the rest of the pack and then he spotted Hannah making her way towards him and he groaned in his mind.
"Where have you been Rubin? I missed you." She whispered seductively in his ear. "You haven't been to visit me in some time. How about we go upstairs and you can make it up to me." She rubbed his chest.
Rubin couldn't believe he once found that sexy and endearing know he found it unappealing and just plain annoying. "Hannah, I know you saw my mate and her child walk in here with me, what we had many months ago is done." He told her pushing her perfectly manicured hand off of his chest. "I'm sorry," he started again "but I'm in love with my mate and her little angel."
He walked away and she sputtered. "You're picking that fat slut with an ugly child over ME!" She screamed at his back. The whole pack quieted and stared at Hannah. An ant's fart could be heard over the silence, that's how quiet it was.
Rubin growled loudly like an untamed animal. The house vibrated with his power and everyone in the room flinched and bowed their heads, whimpering in fear, including Hannah. He marched over to her and picked her up by her neck and slammed her against the wall behind her.
The wall shattered like glass from the force of the blow and Rubin could have sworn he heard a rib crack. His eyes glazed over with the gold of his wolf and he let out another murderous growl.
"You will never, ever speak of my mate and your alpha female like that again. The next time it will be your head that will be served at supper. Do you understand?" he said lowly, threateningly.
Hannah whimpered and bowed her head showing her neck in an attempt to calm Rubin down. "I said, DO YOU UNDERSTAND!" he screamed in her face.
"YES Alpha, yes I understand." She whimpered pathetically. Rubin let her go and she fell to the floor gasping and taking in as much air as she could gather.
"Now apologize," he ordered.
Hannah looked silently at him. "I said to APOLOGIZE!" he screamed and Hannah quickly snapped her head to Eliza's scared face.
Hannah glared hatefully at Eliza, with murder in her eyes. "I'm sorry I called you a fat slut and I'm sorry I called your child ugly." She sneered quietly and scattered off of the floor and out of the dining room.
Rubin looked at a frightened Eliza and a scared Anna hiding behind her legs. "I'm so sorr-,"
"You... You're a....a, a monster." Eliza stuttered in fear, tears dribbling down her cheeks.
"No, No Liza..." Rubin tried to explain.
"No, don't call me that." Eliza screamed.
You're a monster.... like like... him" she whispered
"Come Anna." She tried to usher Anna out of the dining room.
"No mommy! Please" Anna cried.
"Anna I said to come now." Eliza ordered, grabbing Anna's hand. "No. Daddddy....." Anna screamed reaching out for Rubin. She never got to him because Eliza picked up the squirming, struggling Anna who reached out and cried louder for Rubin.
"No Liza wait..." Rubin screamed after them when Eliza high tailed it out of the house with the slam of the door. "Please." He whispered pathetically dropping to his knees on the floor.
