"You'll like this one."
I smiled at him as he got up. He gave me his hand and I grabbed it. He helped me up but didn't let go of my hand.
When I called him hideous this morning, I was lying. He was hot. I could only imagine how perfect his abs were under that shirt. Asher turned to me. "Checking me out, Dario?" he said, smirking.
"Only in your dreams, Jordan," I said while grinning.
We reached my car and Asher stuck his hand out. "Keys," he demanded.
"Excuse me?" I said.
"Give me the keys," Asher said slowly as if he was talking to a toddler.
"No," I told him. "I wouldn't even let Mason drive."
A look passed over Asher's face, but it was gone as quickly as it had came. "Just give me the keys, Les," he said. He looked at me. "Is that okay?" He asked, worried.
Caleb used to call me Les, too, but not as much. Lessie was always his nickname for me, because he claimed "Alessandra" was too long a name. He made sure that nobody else ever called me Lessie because it was his special nickname for me.
I looked at Asher. "It's okay," I said.
Asher nodded and came over to me. He put an arm on each side of me, trapping me against my car. He leaned down to me, and I could feel his breath on my neck. My heartbeat quickened as he brought his forehead to mine. He stared down at me and put his arms around my waist. My hands were flat against his chest as his caressed my sides. He bent down until his lips were right beside my ear. "I've got your keys," he whispered, and he stepped back.
I gasped and my mouth dropped open in shock. I didn't even feel him grab them, but, then again, I was too caught up in him to realize anyhow. "You dickwad!" I yelled as he doubled over laughing.
Asher got in the car and started it up. He rolled down the window so he could speak to me. "You getting in or not?" He asked, knowing full well I would.
I got in the car, shooting him death glares the entire time. Asher pulled out of the parking lot and drove. "Les, you should really stop glaring. It's very unattractive on you."
I glared harder and he laughed. "Where are we going?" I asked.
"My house."
"What?" His house? Why were we going to his house? "Why?"
"That's the first surprise, Les," he said. "Be patient."
When we pulled up to his house, Asher turned to me. "Close your eyes."
"What?" I asked dumbly.
"Close your eyes," Asher repeated. "I don't want you seeing the surprise."
"Asher, I am not closing my damn eyes," I told him. "You'll probably throw eggs at me or something."
Asher tilted his head back and laughed while I tried to hide my smile. "And where, might I ask, would I get the eggs?" Asher asked me.
I looked at him for a second. "Shut up," I mumbled realizing that he was right.
Asher laughed again and I hit him on the shoulder. "Where's my surprise?" I asked impatiently.
"Close your eyes," he insisted.
"No."
"Do it or we'll sit here," he threatened.
"Sitting it is," I replied.
"Ugh, you're so difficult. Close. Your. Eyes."
"Not happening."
