Zero awoke on a cold table. A man in a wheelchair approached him.
"Oh, yes... Paleblood... Well, you've come to the right place. Yharnam is the home of blood ministration. You need only unravel its mystery. But, where's an outsider like yourself to begin? Easy, with a bit of Yharnam blood of your own... But first, you'll need a contract..."
The doctor handed Zero a piece of paper with blank spaces to fill out

Zero paused at this before finally deciding to sign it.
Signature: Zero Dragneel
"Here, I don't know why I needed to list my looks, but okay" Zero wondered aloud
"Good. All signed and sealed. Now let's begin the transfusion. Oh, don't you worry. Whatever happens... You may think it all a mere bad dream..." The doctor began to laugh, which worried Zero. He then felt a sharp pain in his left arm and fell unconscious.
Zero woke up and looked to where the doctor was. He was gone, replacing him was a pool of blood sat a few meters away. The pool began to bubble and out emerged a giant wolf, covered in blood, the wolf went to grab Zero slowly, with a huge, menacing claw. Zero began to scream, when the wolf was suddenly engulfed in flame. He looked as to who set the wolf alight. He looked right to where he saw little white humanoids crawling on him. Zero screamed again. It was then when he heard a collective voice in his head.
"Do not be alarmed, Hunter. We are here to help," the voices said. "We are Messengers, worshippers of the Hunters, we set the lycanthrope on fire."
"A lycanthrope? Like a werewolf?" Zero thought. He then began to feel lightheaded and fell unconscious again.
