Facing Mom

When you get suspended from school they always call your parent's. I was actually dreading this because Ive never been a child that got in trouble to much and that was part of the reason why I was not as concerned hoping that my parents would have in mind my great grades, perfect attendance ( untill now) and good behaviour. All my hope faded away when my mother came to pick me up. Just by looking at the fake smile only I would know what was to come. She quickly signed the papers that were required to sign when your child gets suspended and walked calmly out of the school with me right behind her awaiting my fate.

"Young lady I hope you have a wonderful explanation for this." she said as she got in the car

"You know I actually do have a great explanation." I said putting on my seat belt and closing the door.

"You better get started in your explanation before I slap the shit out of you." she said starting the car up and getting out of the schools parking lot.

I explained everything to her from the beginning and to my suprise she just laughed her ass off. I was confused as to why she would be laughing but got the answer while she started talking.

"Sorry for laughing honey...... Bu....but its just I never would have thought sweet Ashley would kick a boys ass. Shes just so small and cute how did she manage to beat Andy Woodland ?" she said while still giggling

At this point I joined in laughing as well. I mean Ashley literally looked like a dog fighting a bear. As I was enjoying the ride home with mom I received a massage from a unknown number.

To: Jaqlin

Can you meet me at the park on 4th and Allen? I really wish to speak with you on what happened today.

Since it was a private number I decided ro ignore the text. See I'm smart not like one of those stupid girls in the movies who would actually go to the park. I'm not really in the mood to die today.

"Im going to pick up your brother. You stay here and make something to eat." my mother said while parking the car in front of the house

"Ohh why are you picking him up so early?"

"Well I guess your not the only one getting in trouble today." she said while I got out the car

"Ohh." was all I said as I closed the door to our gray Nissan altima

I unlocked the door to my house steping in to breath in the welcome home smell I loved. I always say this when I step inside reciving questions from my parents on what exactly do I smell. I never answer knowing I also dont know how to explain it. I closed the door behind me, took of my shoes to place them in the shoe bin we had behind the door and walked down the short hallway to the kitchen to start cooking.
After about 20 min. I had pasta cooking and chicken in the oven with a homemade tomato sauce my mom does that nobody not even my dad knows how she makes it.

Knock-knock

"Mom shouldn't be back that fast yet." I said in a low whisper

I walked back down the hallway to the front door. I looked through the small window to find Jim standing on my porch.I was shocked again. I always feel like my three emotions in life is shocked, nervous and confused.

"What are you doing here?" I asked while opening the door

"Hey Jaqy. I heard what happened in the boys locker room. You okei?" he said looking me straight in the eyes

"I'm fine Jim thanks for asking. Now what are you doing here?" I asked again

"Well I wanted to talk to you about the kiss." he said looking down at his shoes

"It was a mistake Jim. I'm sorry about that. Now if you dont mind I have to cook." I said closing the door only to have it be stopped by his foot.

"Its 9 in the morning. Why are you cooking so early.?" he asked holding the door a jar

"We always prepare the food early it's become a costumin this house. " I replied getting a little annoyed at this point

"Ohh thats not weird at all." he said laughing at the end

"God your an idiot. Can you leave now?" I said kicking his foot so I could close the door

"And who may you be?" asked my mom from behind Jim holding my brother who looked like his been crying.

This couldn't have gotten any worse.
