Chapter 50: Astronomy Tower

  Draco's POV
I woke up to Blaise shouting in my ear.

"What?!" I groaned.

"It's Hogsmeade weekend." Blaise replied.

I got up and dressed, then headed down to the Great Hall. I saw YN sitting across from Millicent and instantly looked away. It pained me to even think of her because I couldn't talk, touch, or kiss her. This is torture!

I had breakfast and headed to the Room of Requirement. A door appeared and I walked through. I found the Vanishing Cabinet.

I pulled out my wand and said, "Harmonia Nectere Passus. Harmonia Nectere Passus."

I sent an apple through and it came back with a bite missing. I tried it multiple times before going to Hogsmeade.

Harry, Hermione, Ron, and I went to the Three Broomsticks and ordered four butterbeers. We sat down and soon out butterbeers arrived.

"So how are you doing YN?" Harry asked.

"Not very good." I replied, "It pains me to be away from Draco."

Ron held back laughter and Hermione hit him on the arm.

"It's not funny Ron! I mean we all hate Mal-Draco but she loves him." Hermione said.

I smiled. "Thanks Hermione."

"No problem." She replied.

"Don't turn around YN." Ron said.

"What?" I asked turning around, wishing I hadn't.

Draco came in with Blaise and Pansy behind him.

"Hey YN." Pansy giggled.

I scowled. "What do you want?"

"Just wanted to tell you that Draco wants to break up with you." She replied.

My face turned hot.

"Well why else do you think he can't talk to you?" Pansy smirked.

I got up and strode up to Pansy.

"Ooh. What are you gonna do?" Pansy taunted.

"YN. Don't do it." Harry warned.

I have had enough of Pansy's taunts, so I slapped her right across the face.

"Ow!" Pansy screeched in pain.

"You dare do anything like that again, and I will make your life miserable." I warned.

"Can't do that." Pansy said.

"Oh why not?" I asked.

"Because Draco's already making my life a living hell." She replied.

"Doesn't look like it. You came here together. Oh well, looks like you'll have double the hell in your life, huh." I said and I walked away.

"Oh and you can come as well Ms. YLN." Professor Slughorn said.

"Thank you Professor." I replied, no clue as of what was going on.

Professor Slughorn walked away and I asked, "What am I invited to?"

"He's having a dinner in his office one day and he was inviting Harry, you, and I." Hermione informed.

"Oh." I said.

"YN?" Someone said.

I turned around to see Scott from Choir.

"Oh hey Scott! Is there something you need?" I asked.

"Emergency Choir practice." Scott said.

"Okay be there in a minute." I replied.

He nodded and walked away.

"We'll escort you back to the castle." Ron said.

"That's very sweet of you guys but I have to hurry." I said.

"It's fine we'll go with you. We need to get back as well." Hermione said.

"Okay then, come on." I beckoned.

We walked out of the Three Broomsticks and into the snow.

  Draco's POV
I was walking back to Hogwarts from Hogsmeade. I can't believe I have to kill Professor Dumbledore. I gave Katie Bell a cursed necklace to give to Dumbledore.

I was right behind YN, Potter, Granger, and Weasley while Katie was in front of them. Suddenly, a blood curdling scream was heard.

Oh no, Katie touched it.

She was lifted up, arms spread out and she was thrashed around in the air.

"Oh my God..." YN mumbled, hand over her mouth.

"I am sorry you had to see that YN. But it was her fault she touched it." I muttered.

Hagrid came through and carried Katie to the hospital wing. I walked to the castle.

I worked on the Vanishing Cabinet for a few hours and went to the Astronomy tower to think.

I feel bad for Katie since she had to go through that. And I feel sorry for YN because she witnessed that.

I miss YN so much. I don't know how long I can keep this up. I need to talk to her. I just can't do this. I bet she's having a hard time too.

The door opened and I turned around to see who it was. It was YN. She walked by me without even looking at me. She sighed as the her hair flown in the breeze.

"The stars are so beautiful." She said.

I nodded in response.

"I can't do this. Knowing you're right here and I can't talk to you, it's killing me." YN said.

"It's like having the Cruciatus Curse put upon you." I said.

"Exactly." She giggled.

"Why are we putting ourselves in danger like this?" I asked.

"It's just that he wants us to be tortured I guess. With you doing this task and my life on the line." She said.

"I love you so much." I said.

"I love you too, Draco." YN replied.

YN turned to me and gave me a smile before walking away.

I stared into the night for a few more minutes and headed to the Slytherin common room.
