Disconnected - A Luke Hemmings Story.

Chapter 2.

I woke to the sound of my alarm, and yawn slightly, switching off the alarm I get up and head into the shower, Lupin following me in, honestly he was the only cat I knew that liked going into a hot steamy bathroom, he was a Maine Coone, which meant his fur just goes out of control in the heat, its quite funny to see.

I dry my hair and put half of it up in a small bun leaving the rest down, I braid a little section to give a bohemian vibe and put a gorgeous maxi wrap dress, although it was only a petite version, being only 5'3 I lack the leg length one needs to look fabulous in a normal maxi dress.

I arrive at the park and theres already a long queue of people waiting to get in, I smirk to myself as I walk up to one of the security guards showing them my pass and walking through the gates, I had been to a party in the park back in my hometown but the security was nowhere as good as it was here, I shrugged it off and went to the performers tent, seeing Katie already there. "You look lovely, trying to impress someone?" She wiggles her eyebrows at me. "Kat who would I impress, you know what I'm like when it comes to flirting, I couldn't even flirt with a piece of paper let alone impress a living breathing male." I laugh loudly, before looking around and apologising to a very annoyed looking girl who was clearly not happy about me interrupting her scales.

We decided to have a wander around the park before our set, looking at all the different stalls that had been set up, I saw a crowd of girls around a marquee but dismissed it, "Come on, we're on in five." I chuckle dragging Katie with me to the stage. We walk on and I become a completely different person. "Alright Wiltshire wasn't that last act amazing, lets give her a round of applause." I shout into the mic and clap along with them, my guitar hanging around my back. I see Katie's parents and Millie in the crowd and smiled. We started to play our first song an original that we had written a few months back, as I looked out in the crowd a familiar face seemed to appear, I could have sworn that the guy I had just seen looked exactly like Ashton from 5 Seconds of Summer, I shrug it off and continue to play we were coming to the end of our set and I looked up to see Millie tugging her moms dress, being impatient in the heat, I smirk to myself and step  up the the microphone. "I have a special guest coming up onto the stage with me now." Katie looked at me with confusion and widened her eyes. "Everyone please give it up for the lovely Millie Howles." I shout and walk into the crowd to fetch Millie. Katie grins at me and shakes her head. "Now this lovely young lady, is desperate for people to hear her beautiful voice, so what do you say, you wanna hear it?" The crowd cheered and I saw that same guy in the back but with three other guys, who also looked like 5 Seconds of Summer, I smile but then it hits me, it is them, breathe Isobel breathe. I lower the mic for Millie and start to strum the guitar whilst Katie plays the piano. As Millie is singing I walk over to Katie and whisper, "5SOS, at three o'clock." I see her eyes scan the crowd and widen before looking at me, I catch a glimpse of Luke and turn away quickly, he looked me right in the eyes, and I nearly fainted. I take steady breaths and use Kats mic to harmonise before finishing the song. I give Millie a big hug before she runs of the stage. "Thank you guys so much, it's been great!" I shout before running off the stage and hearing the crowd cheer.

I set my guitar down and look at Kat. "No don't even say it, I'm having heart palpitations right now." I say trying to calm myself down.

"Well they'd better end soon because they're coming in." Kat says with a smirk.

I shake my head, "What?! I look a mess, quick sort my hair out." I flick my head upside down and hit it on my guitar. "Oh for fucks sake, really?" I said holding my head.

"That is one lucky guitar." I hear a voice say, I spin around still holding my head with one hand the other balancing myself on a chair. It was Michael Clifford, of course it was, I laugh slightly, widening my eyes at Kat. She speaks up, "What brings you guys to Wiltshire?" she asks raising her brow, I put my guitar into its case, trying to stop the room from spinning before standing up. "We've heard good gossip about this event, and wanted to check it out." Calum said answering her.

"Ahh right, I see." Kat replies nodding her head, she was being so calm as usual, its not the fact they're famous, its the fact that they are guys. Attractive ones at that, I nod to make it seem like I know what they are talking about. I glimpse over at Luke who was already looking at me and turn away quickly taking my pick out of my pocket, playing with it. "How long have you been playing?" I heard him say, I look up and swallow before speaking. "Eight years now." I smile at him, why was I getting so nervous with him? "You're really good do you play anything else?" He folds his arms as he asks the question.

"Piano and Violin. Bit of a random selection I know." I laugh tucking my hair behind my ear. "Hey is your head alright? You seemed to hit it pretty hard when we walked in." Ashton says pointing at me. "Oh yeah I'm fine, I'll be fine, just great." I say feeling a little faint, I feel for the chair sitting on it. Luke picks up a bottle of water and hands it to me, "You don't look so great." Michael says, Calum hits him in the chest. "Dude you can't just say that to a girl we just met." I saw Luke turn around and look at them before talking. "Would you like me to take you to get checked out?"

"I think you're doing that just fine." I hear Ashton say trying to muffle it in a cough. Luke glares at him before turning back to me.

"Oh no, no I'll be fine in a few minutes." I nod smiling at him, how sweet. "But thank you for asking." I turn to Kat and widen my eyes before picking up my bag.

"We're heading to a BBQ if you wanted to join us." Calum raised his brow as he asked the question. "Yes!" Kat replied a little too eagerly and I let out a chuckle. "We'd love to." I smile at the four guys in front of us.
