============= =============

I vividly remembered the day that I first saw all the beautiful colors that belonged to the world. The day I no longer had to be living some type of Chaplin black and white film. The day I met my beloved soulmate Clay.

I felt myself smile automatically at the thought. After all I was walking along the nature trail just listening to the sounds that belonged to mother nature and all the animals. Ignoring the fact that everything was different shades of black and white giving an odd texture to everything.

My parents told me that the sky was a beautiful blue, the grass a luscious green, and the car I drove was a bright red. But when I tried to imagine those colors-- It didn't quite work out. And to be honest of depressed me, and for a long time I thought I would never find my souldmate. That I was stuck forever in the boring, sad, plain world.

I thought that until I bumped into a person who seemed to be in a rush, as they were breathing heavily. I knew that the probably weren't much of a runner from them being real out of breathe but who was I to judge.

I instantly looked at the person before my eyes widened. I was looking into light blue eyes not a dull grey. I could see color and I instantly knew. I could tell the light blue eyed person knew and was shocked as well as their eyes widened.

"U-uh..." The person nervously stuttered before they put their hand out, "I'm Clay. Clay Jensen sorry for running into you like that."

"Tony," I gave a small smile shaking Clay's hand, "Tony Padilla."

I shook my head remembering that fateful day. I shook my head before I got out of my car. Clay had sent me to go get groceries while he picked up our daughter Rachel from daycare.

I started humming some random tune from a kids show that Rachel watches. She seems to watch 24/7 and makes me join her at times naturally the song would get stuck in my head.

I walked into the store and got a cart and and went to the produce section to get some fruit. As I walked through the aisles and getting what we needed and a small present for Rachel and Clay, I suddenly felt uneasy.

Like something bad had happened, I sorta grew paranoid but shook it off. It was probably nothing since it wasn't the first time I had gotten this feeling.

I soon went to checkout and oiad for all the items I have gotten. I gave a small smile towards the cashier to be polite before grabbing all my bags and walking out of the store. I glanced up at the sky enjoying the sight of the white fluffy clouds and the soft blue sky.

My red car soon came into sight as I walked towards it, but suddenly everything around me slowed down and flickered as if the light was dying out. My heart rate sped up as I felt the panic settle in. Was something wrong with me?

Suddenly everything around me flickered one final time and all the color vanished. My heart and breathing seemed to stop as I felt the bags slip out of my hands and onto the asphalt below.

Dread filled me once more. This couldn't be happening. It wasn't supposes to end like this.

"Clay...." I mumbled before falling not my knees, "Why?....What happened?"

Tears slowly cascaded down my face-- there could be only one reason why my beautiful color filled world had disappeared along with everything I loved.

This meant that the love of my life, Clay had passed.
