"Come on, just watch your step," Grayson said as he held Ryder's hand. He guided her through the woods, over rocks and up semi-steep ledges. Of course he didn't take her into the woods, but a whole different area much more vibrant and alive.

"Gray, be careful," she laughed as she walked at the same quick speed as him. "Are you sure you know where you're going?"

Grayson stopped suddenly, turning with a small smile on his face, "you think I'm leading you off into the great unknown?"

They laughed before continuing on. The bright green leaves let light in through the cracks that casted bright rays to shine down onto the ground. A small creek to their right looked crystal clear and shined magnificently. A few small fish could be seen darting around in schools chasing after floating waterbugs and leaves.

Grayson jumped up onto a rock, turning and offering his free hand to her to help her up. Ryder gladly took it and she was pulled up with barely an exertion of energy.

"Thank you," she smiled and laid a peck to his cheek.

Grayson shook his head, his eyebrows furrowing before he let go of her hands and placed them on both sides of her face.

"You're always welcome," he replied before planting a kiss onto her lip-balm covered lips.

"Oh, what's that?" He raised his pointer finger to his lips, feeling them as they slightly tingled.

She rubbed her lips together to feel the same feeling and laughed when he was caught off guard by it. "It's carmex, my favorite lip-balm."

"Oh," he simply stated.

He grabbed her hand again and led them both up a few more steep rocks. Using tree trunks and washed out roots as foot holds, they eventually made it up to a clearing. As they emerged from the woods, it seemed like there were wild flowers and tall grasses everywhere. Faded purples, yellows, whites- they were beautiful. Grayson pulled Ryder towards it and stopped to tear a purple flower from its stem. He brought it to his nose before cringing.

"It doesn't smell like anything."

"May I have it?" She asked and Grayson handed it to her. She spun the flower in her fingers before placing it behind Grayson's ear. The flower bright and beautiful next to his features. "You look beautiful, Gray."

He smiled and pulled the girl to his chest, wrapping his arms around her and laying his chin on the top of her head. While he pulled her in, he grabbed another flower and picked it from its stem, placing it behind her ear so they could match.
