Third Wheeling Breakfast - Chapter 5

"Caroline?", a familiar male voice says as Caroline sits in a dark corner.
"Stttay. Awaaayy.", replies Caroline in a course voice as she grabs her hand.
"What's wrong with you?", the male voice says while Caroline hears footsteps behind her.
"I SAID STAY AWAY!!!", Caroline screams on the top of her lungs. Carolines turns around and uses her magic meta-human powers to push the person away, harshly, into the wall. Little did she know it was Oliver.
"Ahhh!!", Oliver screams out as he is being pushed harshly.

Caroline wakes up, sweating, inhaling and exhaling very sharply. She then realizes that it was all just a dream.
"Thank God. It was just a stupid dream.", Caroline said while she wiped off her sweat. She gets up from bed and goes into the bathroom to splash her face with water. Before Caroline can grab a napkin to dry her face she hears a "whoosh" in the living room. Caroline suddenly becomes startled and walks carefully into the living room with her hands held out. Just before she was gonna strike, she see's a small, slim, dark haired woman standing before her. Caroline then realizes that that is her best friend Shaina Tano.
"Woah, woah, woah. Calm down, do you not remember that I can fly and touch the sky?", Shaina says as she lifts her eyebrows.
"Oh yeah. Right.", Caroline says chuckling while she lowers down her hands.
"Welp, since i'm here and hungry, breakfast?", Shaina says  shrugging her shoulders. Caroline laughs while Shaina takes out her phone to play their friendship playlist on Spotify. Caroline walks over to her refrigerator and takes out some frozen waffles and raw bacon. While Shaina, lays down on the couch turning on the TV.

Caroline immediately starts to get the stove heated up, and gets the oil ready for the bacon to cook. As Caroline waits for the bacon to be crispy, she puts the waffles in the toaster. A "ring" from the doorbell floods through both Caroline and Shaina's ears.
"I'll get it!!", Shaina says as she gets up to open the door. Caroline hums a song as she flips the bacon. When Shaina opens the door she starts to smile and says, " CAROLINE!! ITS YOUR BOYFRIEND!". Oliver laughs.
"Shaina. Shut up before I drop you like I dropped Jaeden in middle school-", Caroline says before she saw Oliver standing in the doorway.
"Ohhh. Hi.", Caroline says blushing.
"Hey. So i'm sorry that I had to cut our dinner short so I decided to have some breakfast with you and it seems that we don't have to go out.", Oliver says as he steps into Caroline's home.
Before Caroline could say something, Shaina says, "Come in, have a seat. Caroline is surely delighted to see you.". Caroline turns her head to look at Shaina, and rolls her eyes. Oliver sits down on the chair near the kitchen counter and asks Shaina, "What time did you wake up??".
"That's a weird question but 6:30!!, Shaina replies looking at Caroline as she laughs.
"Wait. The time right now is 7:00, so how did you get to Starling City if you live in Central City, which is a 1 hour drive?", Oliver says as he forms a confused facial expression.
"Oh, I just flew- I mean, there was literally almost no cars on the high way. So it's faster.", Shaina says as Caroline looks behind.

Oliver keeps the confused facial expression and turned around to see Caroline serving dinner. Oliver digs in and notices how great the waffles and bacon taste. Caroline sits across Oliver so that she can get a good view of his structured face.
"So, what was the important thing?", Caroline asked as she cuts a waffle.
"Just work. You know, typical mayor stuff.", Oliver says putting down his fork.
"Wait- your the mayor?", Caroline says while she drops her mouth.
"Yeah. You didn't know that?", Oliver says wiping food from his lips.
"That's ironic because my new job is in City Hall. I'm uh starting tomorrow", Caroline says. Shaina just sits there watching the two have a conversation.
"So yeah.", says Caroline continuing.
"Ooh that's nice.", Oliver says staring at Caroline. The next 2 minutes, over and over again the two keep saying "yeah". Then the two begin to stare at each other, leaving Shaina feeling very awkward. Shaina interrupts the moment by saying, "Uhh are you guys done, because I feel like i'm third-wheeling.". Caroline looks over at Shaina with a serious face, while Shaina laughs.

Shaina then whispers into Caroline's ear, "You should invite him as your plus-one to me and Barry's pool party.". Caroline nods her head and asks Oliver, "So umm. Do you wanna be my plus-one in this pool party. My best friend, Shaina and her kinda-boyfriend, Barry, are throwing it.". Shaina then looks at Caroline and shoves her for calling Barry, "Kinda-Boyfriend".
"Wait-Barry? As in Barry Allen?", Oliver says as he finishes his bacon.
"Wait you know him?", Shaina asks.
"Uh yeah.", Oliver says as he plays with his keys. While Shaina eats her breakfast, Caroline says, "So is that a yes?...".
"Yeah! Sure!", Oliver exclaims as he looks down and smiles.
"It tomorrow at Shaina's place, since she has a pool in her backyard. And Barry's gonna be picking us up!".
