Chapter Three

-- Andy's P.O.V. --

Me and Juliet filled out the papers, we turned around to see Amethyst, she was faintly smiling. She's ours, our adopted daughter. I went beside her and picked her up - she was really light - and put her on my back. Amethyst gasped and held tight, like she had never had piggy back ride before. She put her legs around me but she tried - successfully - not to accidentally choke me.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Ha ha, funny. I've just never been on someone's back before." Amethyst said, huh.

"Really? Well your gonna have to get used to it because the guys are very excited to meet you." I said as we walked out of the adoption center.

"Right, the guys." Amethyst said, sounding nervous.

"Hey, don't be nervous. It'll be fine." Juliet said before I could say anything.

"Yeah, I'm not good with big crowds." Amethyst said, I could feel he shaking a little. Oh, fuck. How did she survive this adoption center?

We got to the car, I put Amethyst carefully down - so that she wouldn't get scared - and opened the car door for her. "Thank you." She said as she got into the back seat behind the driver seat.

Juliet smiled at me from the passenger seat as I got in and we drove home. I looked in the review mirror to see that Amethyst was drawing again. I looked back at the road as we drove, we passed a cemetery. I saw Amethyst quickly look up and stare at it, she like cemeteries huh?

"Do you like cemeteries, Amethyst?" I asked.

Amethyst nodded and kept looking at it as we passed. I noticed her facial expression was blank again, like all her attention was based on that particular thing.

We finally passed the cemetery and Amethyst looked back at her drawing, I couldn't exactly see it. "Are you excited Amethyst?!" Juliet asked excitedly.

Amethyst looked up and nodded, the ends of her mouth tilted into a type of 'Mona Lisa smile'. It was there, but not exactly. We finally got to me and Juliet's house and parked, Amethyst put everything away and we all got out. I got my keys out to unlock the door, I unlocked it and called "Honey, I'm home!". I heard laughter from Juliet and all of the guys. Amethyst was right behind me, a little shy. I went and held her hand to say that it was okay.

"Hey, Andy! Just a reminder! You ran out of soda!" Ashley shouted.

"Okay, what ever. Guys come over here, if you will." I said.

"We are. Did you pick a kid?" CC asked, they were finally got into view and saw Amethyst.

"Oh my god, her makeup looks so cool!!" CC yelled, running over to Amethyst had picking her up into a hug. Amethyst was thirteen but she sure was small, she was a little short but at the same time not.

"I'm your new uncle CC!" CC said, putting her down.

Amethyst did her 'Mona lisa smile'. "Cool, and thanks. I did my own makeup." She said.

"Hey, I'm Ashley." Ashley said, giving her a hug as well.

"This is Amethyst." Juliet said.

"Sweet name." Jake said, giving her a welcoming hug as well.

"Thank you." Amethyst said.

"Hey, I'm Jeremy. But call me Jinx." Jinx said, hugging Amethyst as well.

"Okay." Amethyst said, she was smiling again.

"Alrighty, so. Do you about our band?" Jake asked.
