"What?" She asked as she sit on her bed

She felt something brush her hair from behind. Then she smiled, she smiled knowing his answer.

She looked behind her to see, her small apartment. Her chairs, her small coffee table, her books, her fridge, and an old wooden door to the bathroom.

She etched a smile on her face once again then asked the same five worded question she always ask him

"Can I see you now?"

While she was waiting for his reply, a small paper suddenly fell in front of her from above

"You know what; I'm amazed by your ways in communicating with me. You never show yourself but we still connect" she laughed picking the paper up "How crazy is that?" she added now unfolding the paper

This is not the right time Hanji

The corner of her lips tugged down the moment she saw Levi's answer

"When is that right time then? I'm sick of waiting Levi! I've been waiting for a year" She asked, desperate for an answer "If you're lying about that fucking right time, then please tell me the truth. Don't make me wait any longer" she added wandering her eyes around her apartment

Hanji's body jolted when she heard a faint low voice whispered to her left ear

"I'm sorry Hanji"

She looked at her left, hoping to see him, but then, disappointment started to eat her up. He's always there but is never there.

"Levi" she called hoping for a response "You trusted me enough to know your name and your gender. Why not show yourself too?" She said "I'm curious about you. I wanna know if you're a ghost or an ogre or a titan or a monster that can be invisible" She said letting out a weak chuckle "You know how curious I can be"
She waited for a couple of minutes for his response but the only thing that she heard within those minutes was the deafening silence.

"Levi?" she called hoping to hear his voice

Her phone suddenly rang, breaking the ice cold silence.

She looked behind her then grabbed her phone that's lying on the mattress. She heaved a sigh before answering the phone call

"Oh, hey Erwin! What's up?" She said through the phone

"Yeah, I have nothing to do. Why?"

"What? Right now?

"Alright"

"Yeah, yeah, see you"

"bye"

She hang up then grabbed her things before putting on her shoes. She then rushed towards the door opening it widely. But before going out, she roamed her eyes around her apartment for the last time then, slammed the door shut.

"Where should I put this?" Erwin said as he entered Hanji's apartment with a big box of papers

"Oh, here" Hanji said a she lead Erwin towards her small coffee table "You could just settle that here" she said as soon as she's beside the table

"Ah! Too much paper works! I hate our job" Hanji complained

She watched Erwin put the box on the table, then she spoke

"Thank you for helping me Erwin" Hanji said smiling

"You're always welcome bird nose" Erwin said chuckling messing up Hanji's tied hair

"Ah! Cut it out eyebrows!" The tall lady said jokingly dodging her head from his big hand "Thanks again though" she added showing a bright smile
