It's the Forth of July, and we're sitting on the lawn looking at the sky. Let me paint you a picture, show you what I see in my head, what seems so perfect to me.
Theres a small hill with grass as green as could be, trees to one side and a house to the other. Stars are in the sky and fireflies can be seen dancing around lighting up the night. There's a red blanket on the ground and on that blanket is you and me with oversized hoodies and another blanket to protect us from the chilly night. Laughter can be heard, some of it light giggles from us, some of it from hysterics at the house. Nobody bothers us they know we just want to be alone. Alone so we can cuddle and hug and kiss with out anyone knowing. Soon the show begins and we watch as the sky is painted with bright colors. We watch as the patriotic explosives leave colors in the sky, accompanied by loud booms and crackles. The booms hurt my ears so I try and block the noise wincing at each boom, but you pull me closer reassuringly. You rub my arm letting me know that it's alright, that you're there and it makes me feel a thousand times better. Some of the fireworks are bright and you move a little to shield my eyes. Some startle us and we jump but we soon laugh at our reactions. And pretty soon the fireworks are over yet we continue to lay there, just looking each other and the night, both of which are fascinating sights.
