Steve started telling a story of a woman who died in the hut years ago. Stacy interrupted him and with a serious voice.

‘I don’t want you to say this kind of things in front of my son’ she said to him.

‘And Ruth as well.’ Fred added. ‘They’re just children and this kind of stories might spook them.’

‘I wouldn’t do that’ Steve replied.

Nobody knew whether he wanted to deliberately scare them or he actually believed the story. He then proceeded to tell it.

‘A girl was killed here by some of her friends.’ He said. ‘The story says that they always picked on her. They invited her to come with them to the hut as an apology and when she came, they started making fun of her again and again. She had enough and decided to go and take one of the cars and leave. They held her against her will and started abusing and physically attacking her. One of them suggested they hold her head in the water and see for how long she can survive.’

    ‘That’s horrible’ Fred said.

    ‘I know, right?!’ Stacy added.

Everyone seemed disgusted with the story except for one person. They all noticed that person and how he was not touched by it and that made them all uncomfortable. Steve then carried on telling the story.

‘They carried her to the bathroom as she was screaming and kicking but they were just too many for her to loosen their grip on her’ Steve added. ‘They filled the sink with water and pushed her face in the water. Every time they let her up to breath, they put her head in the water longer than the time before it. They were yelling at her and hitting her as her head was forcefully held in the water. Finally, they put her under the water for too long and she died of suffocation. They got scared and decided to bury her near the hut. As they were digging a grave for her, a floating, pale white woman came to them and massacred them all. Their deaths were horrifyingly brutal. They all died except for one girl. The girl she spared was the only one who tried to stop them from harming the dead girl.’

After Steve finished telling the story, Stacy yawned and asked Heath for the time.

‘It’s almost th-’ Heath said.

Before Heath completed his sentence, they heard a very loud scream coming from inside the hut. Steve, Fred and Stacy rushed to the inside of the hut, Heath and Adda ran to the windows to see what happened. They saw a small boy stuck to the upper side of the wall of kids’ room, with what looks like a broken neck, his hands were dangling and blood coming out of his ears. They ran as fast as they could to confirm whether what they saw was real or not. They saw Steve with his hands on his head; Shocked and terrified. Stacy was on the floor weeping. Her legs couldn’t carry her few more steps to go inside the room. They came to the front of the door and saw Fred pulling the boy’s legs but it looked like he was glued to the wall. That boy they saw from the outside was Ned.

Everyone panicked and was not doing anything rationally. Heath stood by Steve in wonder and Adda looked inside the room. She was looking for Ruth, who was sharing the room with Ned. Adda was not in a better state than the rest of them, she had to look three times to see Ruth on the floor. Ruth looked like she saw a ghost. Her lips were white as milk. Her face turned yellow and she was shaking uncontrollably. Amidst the panic, Adda noticed that Ruth was looking at the opposite side of where Ned is. Adda looked at where Ruth was looking and saw only a window.

Fred was afraid he would pull his son’s legs off so he stopped. He ran outside and brought a huge hammer he had seen earlier. As for the others, no one was capable of moving or saying a word. Even Stacy, she had lost her voice and was squeaking. Fred came back running and he tried to hit the wall. Heath rushed and grabbed the hammer Fred was holding.
