Megan's POV
'We're like a movie playing on the big screen, and girl you're the lead...' we sang along to the Jai Waetford song as we drove on the streets of Los Angeles to the apparently best and least crowded beach in the whole city
My friends Melina, Jade, Alyssa B, Alyssa P, Madona, Carissa, Katia, Renee and I were in L.A. for a month and were currently running around, doing anything and everything.
As we parked in the beach parking lot, I looked out to the perfect blue water and soft sand on the beach. They were right, this did look like the best beach we've gone to so far and it had hardly any people on it.
"Time to get my tan on!" Jade screamed, running to the beach and lying down on the hot sand
"Oh Jade, not everyone needs as much of a tan as you do" Melina said following slowly behind her
"Shut up Miss I already have perfect skin" Jade snapped at her and Melina just laughed before sitting down next to her.
After ten minutes of tanning and talking every now and then, Madona shot up.
"Ok guys, enough with the stupid tanning, we're in L.A. for crying out loud, I'm pretty sure it has more sun than Melbourne." She said dusting herself off and waiting for us to stand up
"Just a few more minutes" Jade said trying to get away from Madona who was blocking her sun "Madonzzzz" she whined and Madona pulled her up and dragged her to the water, us following closely behind.

Carter's POV
"Pick up the speed Carter! The wave is perfect out there and I don't want to miss it" Cameron said while bouncing up and down on his seat.
"Ok, ok. Calm your tits man." I replied as I parked the car in the beach's car park and Cameron bolted out, dragging his surfboard behind him. He looked back to us with a 'what are you waiting for?' look and we all sprinted onto the soft sand, trying to catch up with him.
The only people on the beach were a few families with little kids and a group of nine girls just mindlessly splashing each other in the water. Once Nash saw the girls he stopped, he looked closely at them than widened his eyes
"Madona Fletcher?" he asked and a girl with black hair at the roots that got lighter and lighter as it reached the tips turned around.
"Nash Grier?" she asked and he nodded, she ran up to him and hugged him tight "I didn't know MagCon was coming to L.A.!"
"I didn't know you and you're possy were coming to L.A." he replied and she laughed
"Go get the boys and I'll introduce you guys to my friends" she said and started to walk back to her friends but Nash stopped her
"Don't I get a kiss?" he asked pushing his cheek right in front of her face
"You're such a flirt Nash" she replied, pushing his face away and running up to her friends
"Looks like the waves are gonna wait boys, I've got some hot girls to introduce to you" Nash told us, motioning us over to him
"Meh, I'm okay with that" Shawn said, dropping his surfboard where it was and running up to Nash.
"Just remember boys, no girlfriends" Taylor said to us and we nodded.
We walked up to the group of girls that were whispering to eachother and giggling, as we approached them they stopped and I got to see them closely, one of them caught my eye. She was quite short with short dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes framed by long eyelashes, when she saw me staring she blushed and looked away, looking at me every so often.
"Boys, these are the girls, Renee, Melina, Carissa, Jade, Katia, Alyssa B, Alyssa P and Megan" she said pointing at each of them, Megan I thought gorgeous name. "And girls, these are the one and only, Boys of MagCon, Nash, Shawn, Matt, Aaron, Cameron, Taylor, Jack J, Jack G and Carter"
"So that's where I've seen you before" Carissa said pointing to Shawn "your Shawn Mendes! You're voice is just absolutely amazing"
"Thanks love, I bet yours is too" he replied and Carissa snorted
"It is" Madona whispered to us and Carissa rolled her eyes
"Don't get their hopes up, Madonz"
"How about you show me your voice? I'll go get my guitar, come with me" Shawn said putting his arm around Carissa and pulling her to the car
"Well, that pledge isn't gonna work out very well" I whispered as I looked at the other boys, even Taylor, eye the girls like they were pieces of meat that they just wanted to eat the hell out of.
After some time, every guy had ran off with one of the girls, Nash with Madona, Cameron with Jade, Matt with Renee, Jack J with Alyssa B, Jack G with Alyssa P, Aaron with Melina and Taylor with Katia, leaving just Megan and I at the spot where we originally were.
"So, tell me about yourself" I asked her as we sat down on the sand
"There's not much to say, I am quite unextraordinary" she said and I smiled
"Did you quote that from The Fault in our Stars?" I asked her and she snapped her head up to look at me
"You've read it?" she asked and I nodded. "Oh my god!" she squealed "You're like the only person I know that has ever read that book, that book made me cry for days"
"Same" I replied and she smiled
"You're the only boy I've ever met that has ever admitted to crying over a book" she said "I like that"
"There's nothing to be ashamed of" I said, she looked at me curiously
"You're not very easy to crack Carter Reynolds"
"You're pretty easy to impress Megan Logan"
She smiled her biggest smile at me that made my heart melt on the inside.
That pledge was a big, big mistake.
