Chapter 4: Lean On Me

'It started with a whisper, and that was when I kissed her...'

Cameron's POV

When Jade emerged from the side room I refused to look at her, if she liked Carter then she could have him as a best friend

"Hey Cam" she came up to me but I simply pretended I didn't hear her and walked away.

From the corner of my eye I could see her scrunching her eyebrows together and biting her lip. I discovered a few days ago that she does that a lot when she doesn't understand something and is trying to figure it out and this time it looks like she's thinking real hard

After a few minutes of conversing and avoiding Jade, she finally got her way and pulled me away from Aaron who I was pretending to have a conversation with

"What's your problem?" she asked me angrily as she pushed me into the back room and locked the door

"Why do you care?" I said sassily and she raised an eyebrow at me

"I think you know exactly why I care you dipshit. Why are you ignoring me?"

"Why does it matter? How about you go run off with your precious little Carter and leave me alone" I said standing up and trying to get past her to the door, she kept calling my name but I refused to look at her. After a few seconds of trying to get me to look at her, she grabbed my face and pulled it towards hers planting a hard kiss on my lips.

At first I was shocked but then I closed my eyes and melted into the kiss as I put my arms around her waist and she put hers around my neck

I carried her over to the couch, laying her on it and hovering above her not daring to disconnect my lips from hers just in case I was imagining it

After a few more minutes of heated making out, we finally withdrew from each-other panting and staring into each-others eyes.

"That's why I broke up with my boyfriend" she said and I smiled

"But what happened with Carter?"

"He likes Megan, Megan's boyfriend cheated on her and I made him go over and comfort her. She always told me that he always knew the right things to say"

I grinned hugely and pecked her again before getting up and pulling her up as well

"I'm going to give you an option Jade Dallas-"

"Dallas?" she cut me off

"Just go with it, either you agree to be my girlfriend or you agree to be my girlfriend" I smile at her and she laughed

"Hmmm, that's a tough one" she said and I laughed "I'm gonna have to go with option one thank you very much"

"Wrong answer" I said and she punched me playfully in the shoulder. A buzzing then came from Jades pocket and she pulled her phone out

Her face soon broke into a grin and she showed me a picture that Renee sent to her. It was of Carter and Megan. They were both sleeping on Megan's bed, Megan was in her stitch onesie and she had her head on his chest while he had his arms wrapped around her waist, the SnapBack on his head now lopsided

"I ship it" I said and she high fived me

"Marter is now my OTP. Right after Jameron of course" she said and I kissed her on the cheek

I was so happy Jade could be my girlfriend and still be my best friend at the same time, I'm so happy this relationship didn't ruin our friendship because if it did then this definitely wouldn't work out very well
