The Chase Part 1

I excused myself from the table and went to the washroom to cool off. I couldn't stand looking at Nicholas kahit pa gwapong gwapo ako sa kanya,, I needed to get away.. I felt bad that I'm feeling like this towards someone I just met. It's unfair for him dahil kinokompronta ko siya sa utak ko nang hindi man lang niya naipagtatanggol ang sarili niya.. it's unfair for me too because I'm allowing some stranger affect me so much to the point of almost ruining my night..

I retouched my makeup and let my hair loose from the bun.. letting my natural curls fall freely to my shoulders.. ready for some fun.. but when I came back everybody's already gone dancing.. except for Nicholas.. haaayss bakit naman kaya siya nagpaiwan.. grrrr

"Welcome back. :)" He said smiling.

"Yes. Im back.. and uhh why are you still here? Di naman sa pinaalis kita.. what I meant was why aren't you with them?" I said making nguso in my friends' direction..

"Nah... im not feeling the song.. it's not my jam.. tyaka if I had joined them, you'd be sitting here ALONE.. :)" he explained stressing on the word ALONE..

"I don't mind being alone. " I said with a pitch a little higher than normal.. seriously, ano ba tingin nito sakin? Na kawawa ako? Dahil magisa ako? Na wala akong kasamang boyfriend? dahil ipinagpalit ako ni Mico dun sa mukhang kabayo niyang officemate?! Bitch please hindi ko ikamamatay kung wala akong boyfriend!! Grrr!!! Nakakainis!! Baliw!! OA ka na naman.. hindi naman niya alam na ipinagpalit ka ng hinayupak mong ex.. baka wala lang talaga sa mood sumayaw kaya nagpaiwan.. kalma lang..

"But I do." Medyo nagulat ako sa sinabi niya.. mejo lang.. hindi ko na lang pinansin.. lakas maka-pa-gentleman eh.. really he's so annoying..

After a few minutes of sitting, sipping martinis and silently singing every track the dj is playing, Nicholas stood up and sat on the chair beside me.. ano na naman?!?!

"Sophie. Let's go to the bar.. have a drink with me.." yaya niya..

"Uhmm.. how about no?" sabi ko..

"come on Sophie" pilit pa niya..

"Nicholas, as you can see I already have a drink in my hand.. and im not your nanny.. I don't have to be with you or you with me all the time.. so just let me be.. you can go anywhere you want.. really I won't mind.. so just go" sagot ko.. kainis hindi makaintindi..

"just one." Hirit na naman niya. A little serious this time..

You know what, bahala ka jan.. kunyare wala akong narinig.. and then..

"What the?!" He suddenly grabbed my martini and drank it all up.. then looked at me wearing a mischievous smile on his face.. grr!!!! Nakakainis talaga!!! bakit ang gwapo niya?!?!?!

"Now you don't. Come on. sige ka, sasabihin ko sa kanila na I saw you checking me out earlier at the bar :)" anak ng.. ayan na naman yung smile niyang nakakainis!! I so hate it! No, you love it. I HATE IT!! at ano naman yung pinagsasasabi niyang i was checking him out?? ang kapal lang ha..

"What?! Of course not! I was looking at.. I was just.. I,," shit! Ngayon pa talaga ng-lag ang utak ko.. grrr no no no.. deny deny deny.. -__-

He chuckled.. grrr!!! Siguro kung may tawang gwapo sa kanya na yun.. kainis talaga.. ang hirap tuloy tumanggi!!! Despite my protests, he grabbed my hand and dragged me to the bar.. Lord help me.. -___-

The barteneder was preoccupied with other visitors so we had to wait.. habang naghihintay nakangiti pa rin sya sakin... seriously? What's with all the smiling? Is he auditioning for a toothpaste commercial? Ughh sarap buhusan ng yelo!! Kakilig! (o^___^o) <--- mukhang palaka haha
