Alpha Of My Dreams – Chapter Five

Jaden POV:

We just finished gym class and now are headed to the lunchroom, to grab a bite to eat and I know he’s going to be there. Keisha has been harassing me about getting to know Alex and my head is telling me to stay clear of him but my wolf is despite to get to know him. I know he’s my mate after thinking about all the things I have been told about mates, but I’m just not ready to be hurt again.

“Jaden, please tell me you will at least try to be friends with him?” Keisha asked as we got to the entrance of the lunchroom and I could already smell his intoxicating smell.

“Keisha, I will try to be friends with him but I’m not promising anything more,” I said opening the door and headed toward the lunch line.

“You need to stop playing hard to get,” Keisha said smiling at me as she bumped into me, making me roll my eyes.

“And you need to stop trying to be a matchmaker,” I replied bumping her back.

As we walked in the room, I felt a strong pull that was pulling to my brother’s table. When I looked where we normally sit with my brother and our pack, I see that they had pushed three tables together and sitting at our table was none other the super fine Alpha. Just seeing him made my wolf go crazy and caused my body to overheat with need. It’s funny to feel this way about someone I just meet. Even with Jason, I didn’t feel this need or urgency to be with him. With Jason I thought I loved him, but I always felt that something was missing, and then I find out that he was cheating on with Samantha during our whole two year relationship when I caught them in the janitor’s closet here at school.

“Girl, he is so cute, “Keisha said was we walked out of the line with our cheese pizza, French fries and juice and headed toward our table.

“Who are you talking about?” I asked while looking at Alex as he was laughing at something Travis said and showing the brightest smile I have ever seen, then as if he could since me looking at him, he turned and looked at me with such intensity my knees became week.

“Alex’s friend, my mate,” She replied with a big smile on her face.

I heard what she said but, I was focusing on this deliciously fine guy in front of me, as we continued to stare at each other my palms became sweaty, and my heart rate increased. I have a strong need to touch him or I’ll go crazy, and I guess fate was on my side because the only seat left is right beside him, as Keisha sat across from me beside her mate.

“What’s up Jaden?” Alex asked turning in his seat to face me.

Hearing that voice caused butterflies to start fluttering in my stomach, and I wanted to get closer to him.

“I’m good, what about you?” I asked finally looking up from my pizza after taking a bite.

“I’m better now that you’re here,” he replied smiling, causing me to blush. What the hell, I don’t blush, what is he doing to me. As I looked around the table to get my thoughts together, I see Keisha laughing at something her mate had whispered in her ear.

“That’s Jacob, my best friend and beta,” Alex said leaning toward me and whispering in my ear drawing my attention back to him.

“Is he really Keisha’s mate?” I asked, wanting to be sure that my girl isn’t going to get hurt, plus if anyone would know it would be the guys alpha.

“Yes, he is and he’s crazy about her, just like I am about my mate,” he replied smiling, and making me blush again.

“When did you find your mate?” I asked nervous to hear his answer.

“Today,” he replied making my breath catch in my throat.

“What’s she like,” I asked looking into his eye and once again they hypnotized me pulling me closer to him.

“While, I don’t know much about her yet, but she has the most amazing brown eyes,  long curly hair and a body to die for, but what draws me to her the most is the way she blushes when we look at each other and the way she looks at me as if she can see into my soul,” he whispered making my breathing become labored and I started to feel lightheaded. God how I wish he would just kiss me already.

Needing to get my breathing under control, I looked around the table and I see my brother smiling at me, and I stick my tongue out at him.

“Very mature Jaden, what are you like five?” Travis said cause our table to laugh. Our pack is use to our teasing each other.

“If I’m five so are you twin brother,” I said and I stuck my tongue out again.

“You guys, you have to excuse these two, because they are always bickering like two kids. Sometimes we have to threaten them with timeouts to get them to stop,” Keisha joked causing me and Travis to throw French fries at her and our friends started to laugh at us as we pouted.

“Very funny, Keisha maybe I should tell Jacob about how you and Jaden got caught kiss boys outside in our tree house,” Travis said laughing, causing Alex and Jacob to growl. I was surprised, when I looked at Alex and saw that he had a sad look on his face, and then he covered it up with a smile when he saw I was looking at him.

“For your information Travis, we were ten years old, and we were not kissing. The boys tried to kiss us and we kicked them where the sun don’t shine and then we ran,” I said then stuck my tongue out at him again.

“Since you want to tell so much why don’t you tell everyone about you peeing in the bed till you were nine,” Keisha said causing everyone to bust out laughing and Travis to growl at us.

“You two are dead,” Travis yelled standing up.

See, my brother can dish it out but he can’t take it as usual. Seeing him get up, still laughing I stood up and grabbed the nears person to me and  pulled them in front of me and that happened to be Alex and as soon as I touched his arm, tingles shot up my arms making me gasp. Almost instantly I found myself wrapped in his muscular arms as we all laughed at Travis as he chased after Keisha who was wrapped in Jacobs’s arms.

“I will get you two back, and you’re not going to know when it’s coming,” Travis said laughing while giving us the finger.

“I’ll protect you,” Alex whispered in my ear while laughing at us, causing me to blush again and put my face into his chest.

“Thank you,” I whispered back enjoying being so close to him that I can hear his heartbeat and feeling the warm radiating from his amazing body. Then as we looked into each other eyes the bell rang, and I stepped back from Alex, instantly missing his warmth.

“Isn’t this a pretty picture?”

Me and Alex both looked toward the person speaking, to see it’s none other than Jason, my ex which caused us both to growl.
