It was cold. Freeze stayed back at school to complete some homework. He had hoped one of his few friends would be there with him, but he was alone. He was under a lot of emotional stress, not just from his homework, but he had just lost a great friend of his. She went away to another country and refused to keep contact with him. Although it happened about 9 months priar to the scene, he still missed her. His previously great grades had fallen slightly. His powers were a burden and without regurely exercising of them they could burst out at anytime. All of this would often push him to limits and tire him out greatly. He was breaking. Slowly but surely. A tear rolled down his cheek, freezing to ice seconds before hitting the mathematics textbook he was reading. He wiped the perfect sphere of ice from the text book and put it and his other books into his bag. He went to get his bike, put on his helmet and left for home.
