Chapter twelve: New life

I grabbed my bag from the room and took it out to the living room. Every one was packed by the time Jace and Alec came rushing through the door.

"Wheres Isabelle?" asked Alec.

"I think I know where she is but im not sure." I said.

"Ok then lead us to were she is." said Jace.

I grabbed my jacket and began to walk out and my mom grabbed my arm.

"Be careful will you? I love you and i cant afford any more people to be-" she said and stopped.

"Gone? I know. I love you mom." I said.

I hugged her and she kissed my forehead. She would always do that everytime i was going to sleep when i was little.

I waved good bye to everyone else and began to walk out. I was halfway down the hallway when Magnus yelled my name.

"Clary! Remember what I said OK? Don't tell anyone until the time comes"

"OK. I promise."

Then i hugged him and gave a light kiss on the cheek and finally left.

I feel the thirst in my throat. The burning sensation all throughout my body is strong. Its dark and clammy where i am. I began to dig upward to get out. All the dirt flew in my face and rubbed all on my clothes. I finally made it to the top and smelled the dirty, rain smell of New York and-blood. The burning in my throat was stronger. I ran to the bloody body and began drinking. I drained the body in 12 seconds.There was someone looking down at me and I knew who the person was. It was Raphael.

"Hello there fledgling."

"What happened? How did you know I was bitten?" I said wiping blood from my mouth.

"You were twitching on the floor. It was a hunch."

"Well how did u know I was there?"

"U heard crashing, screaming, and smelled Nephilim blood."

I look around where I was at and I was in the alley of the hotel.

"Why didn't you take me to the cemetery? That's were you took Simon."

He began pacing back and forth and then finally spoke.

"He was a mundane. Unlike a shadowhunter like your self. The venom probably flowed through you aster I suppose."

"But I pump blood 3 times more aster than an average mundane. Would it have taken longer?"

"That is a question I do not know."

I got up and walk around a bit trying to feel how a vampire walks. Nothing special. Just more balanced. Like a cat.

"Oh God how am I going to tell this to my mom!"

"You said his name. A vampire can't say his name."

"I did? GOD GOD GOD!!"

No choking spaz attack.

Raphael looked at me with curious eyes.

"I guess it was how you were an allegiance to the angels."

"Cool. But what am I going to do? I can't go home like-"

My phone rang. I took my phone out and it was Alec.

"Hello?"

"Hey izzy. Come back to the apartment. We need to go."

"What?!? Why?!? I can't."

"I can explain later. No time. Also, why can't you come?"

"Just come by hotel Dumont and I'll show you."

"Ok. See you there."

"Oh! Alec don't tell mom ok?"

"I won't."

"Thanks bro."

"No problem sis."

Then he hung up.

We walk up to the hotel. It was dark and there was a light smell of rotting. We look around everywhere until we hear a whispering noise.

"Pst. Guys. Back here."

We look at each other and walked in the alley. It was dark. Good thing Jace had his witch light.

"Hey izzy- Whoa. Why are you covered in blood?" Said Jace.

"It's hard to explain."

She told us what happened.

"Wow. I can't believe your a vampire."
I said

"Yeah well I wasn't planing on being one it just....well happened." She said.

"Also I'm surprised you took Maureen down by your self." Said Jace.

"Yeah that too. By the way what happened to you and Alec?"

"Long story."

He told her about Zachariah and she was wide eyed.

"So he's a bad guy? And I was liking him too..."

"Well we were surprised too."

My phone buzzed.

"It's my mom. She said the portal is ready." I said.

"Wait portal? Are we going to Idris?"

"Yes. We are going to tell the Clave what happened an we are going to round up an army. Also Sebastian's coming with us." Said Jace.

"Wait. Sebastian is-" started Alec.

"No time! Let's go before the portal closes!" Said jace.

Then we were out.

"Just calm down sis. It'll be fine just-"

We walk in to find Zachariah, a few demon-shadowhunters, and, someone we haven't seen in a while, Inquisiter Herondale.
