Beca looked around her ex girlfriends apartment. It was small and quaint but very cute, with all of the Chloe decorating expertise. The apartment was a 2 bedroom one bathroom, with a nice sized walk in closet and an open kitchen. The memories of late nights on the island counter, drunken rendezvous in the closet, and many other interesting adventures on basically every surface in this apartment flooded Beca's mind. Chloe and Beca began dating back at the end of Beca's freshman year, when they kissed after winning the "lame a Capella competition" as Beca put it. Shortly after the first semester of Beca's sophomore year, the two moved into this apartment together, not far off campus. After graduation, Chloe found a job teaching music to an elementary school close by, and Beca... Beca got an offer from Capitol Records in California, which lead to where they were now. Broken up, alone, and each missing the other.

Beca made her way down the hall and to the bathroom, where she heard Chloe singing Half a Heart by One Direction. The small brunette smirked at the memory of the adventurous red head sneaking into Beca's shower back when the younger girl had just started college. The first thought that came to mind was to recreate the memory and Beca ran with it, opening the door to the bathroom quietly, undressing herself, and stepping into the tub behind the tanned red head who was washing conditioner out of her hair. Chloe looked paler. Still tan, but she lost some of her tint. She seemed thinner, and her body language read exhausted, by the way she was barley keeping herself on her own two feet. Beca didn't want to waste any more time, seeing as she would open her eyes at any moment, and decided to make her move. "You can sing!" Beca exclaimed, repeating the line Chloe used years ago when taking a gander into Beca's stall.

"Fuck!" Chloe screamed, her eyes wide open as she twist around to stare at who barged into her shower, causing the taller girl to nearly slip, only to be caught by the one person she never expected to see again. "Beca!" Chloe suddenly broke down into sobs, throwing her naked body into the other girls arms. Beca smiled, not expecting such an emotional response, but glad to see she was missed. "I thought you were dead! We all thought you were dead!"

Beca's smile was erased and she turned to a state of confusion "W-what?"

"The plane! Your body was never recovered from the crash. Everyone was forced to assume the worst..." Chloe moved her hands to Beca's face and caught her breath. "You were dead. I... I thought I lost you, and that I'd never get to say goodbye or love you again, and that you died hating me for wanting you to stay. I was so selfish, I'm so sorry, I..." Chloe took a breath and stared at the very much alive Beca Mitchell. "What happened?" Beca wasn't sure how to feel. Her whole family and all of her friends thought she was dead. She didn't realize that she hadn't been in contact with anyone in such a long time.

"I..." Beca caught herself. Isn't there some superhero code that says you can't tell other people about your identity? "I was saved by a separate rescue group. I was in a coma. They didn't have an ID on me, so I was just Jane Doe until I woke up and remembered. I had to go through a lot of physical therapy until they released me. But as soon as they did I flew my way here." She lied. Beca didn't like lying to Chloe, but she didn't know if she could tell her the truth yet. Beca was such a bad liar.

"You... you came back for me?" Chloe wrapped her arms around Beca's neck and held on tight, afraid to lose her again. "You got on another plane for me? After what you went through?" Beca hadn't thought of that. The PTSD she'd be expected to suffer. Though she has had nightmares, she never considered how she'd have to get on a plane again, and after what she discovered not too long ago, she's definitely never going to have to worry. One more lie won't kill her, right?

"I'm in love with you, Chlo. Four years of a relationship are pretty hard to get over." Beca pressed her forehead against the red heads, as she pulled the other girls waist closer to her. Chloe was first to make a move, leaning forward to put her lips to Beca's, holding on to the sensation of having her lover in her arms, skin to skin, the surge of electricity running through her body. "I can't even begin to tell you how much I've missed you." Beca sighed.
