"Damn.. I'm really blind as hell." I thought to myself, as I struggled to read the Starbucks menu.

As I got closer to the counter, the menu got clearer and I was finally able to order. After about 5 mins, my venti smores frappe finally came out and I walked back to the quiet section of the Barnes N' Nobles.

Keith's POV🍫
I don't even know why I decided to walk into this bougie ass bookstore-especially with Christian dumbass. I'm honestly just looking for a cookbook and something to read while I'm on the road.

"Aye, you think they got like a McDonalds or something like that in here? This place big as hell, so they gotta have something!" Christian exclaimed, earning us some nasty glares-including mine.

I glared at him and shook my head as I walked to the escalator

I glared at him and shook my head as I walked to the escalator. As I stepped off the escalator, I made a beeline towards to the lifestyle section of the store and searched for a soul-food cookbook.

"Aye Chris! You think-" I yelled, before bumping into someone.

"Damnit, I just bought that!" the stranger said, annoyance written across the wrinkles on her forehead.

"Awe' man, I'm sorry.. Could I buy you a new drink?" I said frantically, as I searched her brown orbs for an answer.

She was a beautiful chocolate sista'..her skin was smooth and her curls fell untidily around her ears and neck. She looked younger than me and she was much shorter than me.

Your POV💗
As I was walking to the lifestyle section, some dummy who was too engrossed in a cookbook bumped right into me-causing me to spill my drink.

Three dollars and twenty five cents completely wasted.

As he apologized, I looked up and found myself speechless. He was a beautiful, lean and tall shade of chocolate. His freckles had me looking into his soul-wanting to know why the hell he couldn't pay attention to where he was going and why he was so damn fine?

"Awe' man, I'm sorry ..Could I buy you a new drink?" He bellowed, his eyes burrowing into mine.

"No, it's fine. I didn't even want the stupid thing anyway .." I lied, causing him to chuckle.

Keith's POV🍫

She know she wanted that drink—what she gotta lie for ? Maybe she doesn't want me to feel bad ..

I chuckled at her white lie, held out my hand and motioned for her to follow me. Her hand was warm and as her fingers intertwined with mine, she grew tense. I gently grazed my index finger along her thumb to ease her nerves.
