Ch. 8 - Bad Boy Turned Baby

Diesel was a fucking baby. He didn't come to school today. Probably scared I was going to beat his ass up. Well, for once he'd be right.

I looked for him throughout the morning, but when it came time for lunch, he still was a no show.

Pansy.

Brynn and I sat with the usual peeps, excepting Leila, and I couldn't help but notice that Devon and Josh were here, sitting across the room.

On a sudden whim, I walked over to their table, which was inhabited by the rest of the football team.

"Do you know where Diesel is?" I asked, with a frown.

Devon looked up and smirked. "Wanting to thank him for his present? Have you used it yet?"

Josh snickered under his breath, and a couple others did too, though I guess it was because of Devon's sexual tone. I was pretty sure that Josh knew, though.

"Actually, I wanted to know so I could shove his present up his ass."

Devon raises a brow. "Anal, huh? Didn't take you for that type of girl."

The guys guffawed loudly, attracting some attention.

I rolled my eyes, and turned to face Josh. "Where is he, Josh?"

Josh looked up, still smiling a bit. "I don't know, he didn't show up at school."

I felt like smacking him. "Anything else? Preferably something useful?"

Josh hesitated then shook his head. "Nope."

I gritted my teeth, and turned away from him and the team. So much for that.

Walking back over to our table, I sat down abruptly, causing Brynn to glance over at me oddly.

"What's wrong with you?"

I narrowed my eyes at her, and crossed my arms.

"Oh....you miss Diesel. I see," she said.

I opened my mouth to protest.

"I understand your love for each other is strong-"

"No-"

"And that you feel unwholesome without the other-"

"No, I-"

"But you really must control yourself. You can't be this obsessive-Ow!"

She rubbed the spot on her arm where I had stabbed her with a plastic fork.

"What was that for?"

I have her a disbelieving look. "I am not obsessed, nor will I ever be obsessed, with Diesel Arlex."

"Ah, you say that now, but-"

"On to the topic at hand."

"Which is Diesel."

"No! ...well actually, yes, the topic is about Diesel, but," I raised my hand before she could interrupt, "it's about him being gone from school."

Rachael raised an eyebrow from across the table. "What about it? Do you think he's part of a gang? A terrorist organization? A Shakespearean acting troupe? Charlie's chocolate factory? A witch's coven? Mmrphm mmphm?"
