Sam glared at her phone and started to retype her message, but suddenly a hand clamped over her mouth. She dropped her phone as another hand grabbed her arms. She struggled and bit the hand that covered her mouth. There was a deep growl but the hand kept its place.

She kicked and kicked without stopping. Suddenly she felt a shear of pain in the lower part of her stomach. The stranger pulled out a thick blade from her stomach and whispered, "Don't you dare do that again."

Sam let tears drip down her face as the stranger pulled her into a van. He tied her wrists together and put a string of duct tape over her mouth. He slammed the door shut and jumped into the driver's seat.

Sam stared down at her stomach. There was a red blood stain all over her body. She felt the sticky blood flow down her side as she slowly closed her eyes.

Tyler looked at the clock and it was already seven o'clock and Sam hadn't showed up yet. He heard the garage door open and he looked up to see his parents. He looked in the garage for Sam but she wasn't with them.

"What are you looking for?" asked his father.

"Sam... where is she?" he asked.

"I thought she was supposed to be home by now," said his father.

"That's what I thought," said Tyler with a concerned look on his face. "I'll call her."

He pulled out his phone and dialed Sam's number. The phone rang about ten times until the voice mail came up. He wondered to himself maybe she ran away. He thought of an ice cream  place where she might have gone.

Jackson tapped him on the back and said,"Tyler where are you going?"

"I'm going to go look for Sam," he replied putting on his jacket.

"I wanna come with you," said Jackson.

"No stay here with mom and dad,"

"No Tyler Sam is my sister too!"

"Ugh alright but you need to listen to me."

Jackson jumped up and down and followed his brother into the garage. They got into the black car and drove down towards the super center. They looked into the ice cream shop but didn't see Sam.

They walked into the store as Tyler pulled up a picture of his sister on his phone.

He showed the cashier her picture and asked,"Have you seen this girl?"

The teen boy stared at the picture and said,"Yeah I did. She left about an hour ago."

Tyler thanked the boy and ran out the door with Jackson. He tried calling her cell phone once more as they began to drive toward their house. On the side of the road he saw a small light turn on from the ground. He pulled over and told Jackson to stay in the car. He picked up the light source and found a smashed up phone. Then he realized that the phone was Sam's.

He pulled out his phone and called the police.

"Nine one one whats your emergency?" said the operator.

"My sister is missing!" panicked Tyler. "I've found her phone on the side of the road and I need help!"

"How long has she been missing?"

"I don't know maybe a few hours," he answered.

"Well I'm sorry to report that I can't do anything until she has been missing for at least twenty- four hours."

"No please help me! What if something happened to her?"

"I'm sorry sir but I can't do anything about it."

Tyler hung up the phone and whispered, "Fuck."
