Summer woke up the next morning feeling like shit.

She felt like she shouldn't have kissed Chase and should've stuck to her guns about the rules she had until he was 100% divorced.

**

When Chase woke up, he saw Summer sitting on the couch across from him.

He stretched and said, "Good Morning."

Summer didn't say anything.

"Why are you over there?"

She was silent.

He got up and sat by her.

"What's wrong? Did I fart in my sleep? I'm sorry," He chuckled and put his arm around her neck.

"I should NOT have kissed you."

Chase looked at her and rolled his eyes.

"I like you, you like me. I don't see the problem."

"Chase, you are married."

"So?"

"That doesn't bother you? You're basically cheating, you are cheating."

"She's cheated on me so many times with friends and family members. So, no I don't feel bad."

Summer sighed, "I feel bad."

"You don't need to feel bad Summer."

"Listen Summer, I am trying to speed up this process of divorcing her, but she is making it really difficult. I really like you. You are the first woman that I have been with that I see a future with."

"I really like you too, but I am not about that Olivia Pope life."

Chase laughed, "I understand. Are you okay now?"

"Yeah."

"I will respect your wishes. So, no couple shit."

"Okay."

**

Summer and Chase had planned to go to the beach. So she went home to take a shower and pack a bag for the beach.

While Chase was getting ready, his lawyer called.

"Hey."

"Hey Mr. Summons, I got a phone call from Mary's lawyer yesterday and she accepted the deal. $30,000 as a settlement and after you both sign paper work and it is approved by the state, the divorce is finalized."

"Thank you. This is the best news I have heard today."

"You're welcome."

"I will see you Monday."

"Okay. See you then."

Chase was extremely happy that Mary finally gave up and settled for his deal, but at the same he felt like she was up to something because she was always up to something.

**

Chase laid out a blanket on the sand while Summer sat their beach supplies down.

"I have some great news Summer."

They both sat down and Chase turned towards Summer and smiled, "Mary agreed to a settlement. On Monday, all I have to do is sign some papers and get it finalized by the state."

"That's great Chase."

Summer hugged him and grabbed a sandwich from the basket.

"Why did you guys get married if you don't love her or even like her?"
