Will He Tell Her?

That night Chase went home and his parents, Mary's parents and Mary were still there.

"You all need to leave."

"Chase, you need to tell me why you're divorcing my daughter."

"You need to get out. I have to go to work tomorrow and I need to go to bed."

The parents left and Mary was still on the couch.

"Why are you doing this? I thought you loved me."

"Please. I have never loved you and you never loved me, you only love my money. I only married you to make my mom happy. I want you to get out."

She started to cry to make him feel bad, "You are going to regret doing this."

"Whatever."

That night Chase called Summer and they talked for hours.

"You should come to lunch with me tomorrow. What time do you go to lunch?"

"Around 2pm."

"Okay I'll send you the address of my office."

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow."

He sent her the address and said goodnight.

The Next Day...

When Chase woke up, Mary wasn't there which made him extremely happy.

He got ready for work and left.

His secretary met him at the door, "You have a meeting at 12pm and there is a woman in your office."

"What woman?"

"Um her name is Summer. She says she has a meeting with you."

He smiled, "Okay."

He walked in his office and saw her sitting in his chair.

"Hey."

She smiled and walked over to him, "Hi," and gave him a kiss.

"What are you doing here?" Chase asked curiously.

"Well my boss gave me the day off so I decided to come early. Is that okay?"

"Of course."

"I can help you do stuff."

"Um I don't need help with anything."

"Are you sure? I can get you coffee?"

"That's okay. Just sit here and look beautiful."

Summer smiled and said, "Okay. I brought you something."

She got a slightly squished cupcake out of her purse, "It looked better this morning."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. I got it from work before I left."

He took a bite and looked at her, "This is so good."

Chase was working while Summer sat and played a game on her phone. Then, suddenly, Chase remembered that he was meeting with his lawyer to discuss the divorce and he didn't want Summer there when his lawyer came.

"Summer?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you do me a huge favor?"

"Of course, what is it?"

"I need you to mail this package."
