I looked up hearing the bell above the door ring. A mother came into the shop with her son who didn't look much older than six.

With a smile on my face I welcomed them, "Hi there, is there anything I can help you with today?" I walked towards them leaving my spot at the counter.

The little boy spoke up before his mother had a chance. "I need a flower! Grandma likes flowers and mommy says we need to make the house pretty for when she comes tomorrow!"

I smiled up at his mother who looked slightly embarrassed before I spoke back to him. "Well what are we waiting for then bud? Let's go find the prettiest flower for your grandma!"

I showed them to the small area with the different bouquets of flowers. As the little boy pulled his mother along the door rang again. "Welcome! I'll be with you in a minute!" I shouted.

I wiped my hands on my pants before quickly going back to the main room. I saw the back side of a boy who looked to be about my age. He was looking at the smaller bouquets when I cleared my throat.

"Um hi, can i help you with anything today?" I said softly tapping his shoulder. The brunette boy turned to me with a single pink flower in his hand, "I'll just be getting this."

I smiled, "Sure thing right this way to the register and you'll be on your way

I smiled, "Sure thing right this way to the register and you'll be on your way." I walked back to the counter ringing him up. He looked down at the counter blankly before handing me the money.

"Have a wonderful day!" I said handing him his change and flower. He mumbled a small "thanks" before walking out the door leaving me with the small boy and his mother.

"If grandma doesn't like this flower she can go back home." The boy said as he attempted to place the large bouquet of white tulips on the counter. His mother sighed handing me the money.

"Oh is this yours?" She said pointing at a wallet that was behind a small jar on the counter. I frowned knowing it must have belonged to the brunette. She handed it to me before grabbing her son and the flowers.

I placed the wallet under the counter in case the brunette came back. I smiled as I heard the bell ring again signaling more costumers. Today was going to be a busy day.

It was finally six o'clock when I locked the shop door. Going back to the counter, I locked the register. I took off my work hat placing it under the counter causing something to fall to my feet.

I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion as I picked up the dirty black wallet now remembering the events from earlier. I stuffed my keys into my pocket before leaving my flower shop for the night.

When I opened the wallet a small picture fell out. I picked it up and saw it was a picture of a small woman in a garden smiling happily with a young boy. Putting the picture back into the wallet, I found the brunette's license looking for his address on it.

437 East Cabrillo Drive

It was on the way to my house so I figured I would drop it off to the brunette before it got too late. I got in my small black car turning on the radio before pulling away from my shop.

After about fifteen minutes I saw the apartment building that belonged to the address. I parked locking my door before heading inside. I walked up to the front desk smiling politely.

"Hello my name's Luke, is there someone named-" I paused looking into the wallet at the license to find the brunette's name, "Ashton Irwin who lives here? He left his wallet in my shop today and I wanted to return it to him."

I smiled up at the man behind the window. He looked greasy as he stared at me through the dirty glass. "Fourth floor, apartment C. The elevator is broken, the staircase is on the left" he said before coughing violently.

I scurried toward the stairs before pushing the door open. The lights were dim and it smelled like dirty socks. I sighed before making my way up. And after about five minutes I finally found the door to the fourth floor.

Opening it, I stepped into the quiet hallway looking for C. Finally finding the door I stood in front of it before I knocked softly. I took a step back as the door flung open and I saw the brunette standing there shirtless.

I blushed looking down at my feet. "Um can I help you?" he asked seeming to get impatient. I looked back up into his hazel eyes before nodding. I smiled, "Hi my name's Luke, you were at my flower shop today and you left this on the counter."

I held out the wallet with a smile on my face. He looked at me, then to the wallet before smiling softly sighing in relief. "I've been looking for that, thank you so much." He grabbed it and I nodded. "You're welcome, have a nice day!" I said before I left.

I hurried down the hall towards the stairwell with a blush on my face. Mentally cursing myself, I looked back to see him watching me before he went back into his apartment.

I practically ran down the stairs and past the greasy desk clerk as I fumbled with my keys. Finally getting the right one I opened my car sighing in relief. I sat in my car for a second to catch my breath before finally heading home.
