Riley's POV
I walked into this small little diner trying to find my way to a hotel and I was wearing a red plaid flannel, short shorts, a pair of vans, my hair down and curled and a bandana in my hair. I looked around and saw a worker. I walked over to the counter.
"How can I help you ma'am?" She asked.
"I'm looking for a hotel." I said.
"Any in particular?" She asked.
"No, ma'am." My southern accent came out.
"Alright. There's a Holiday Inn down the street." She said.
"Thank you." I said.
"Want anything to eat, love?" She asked.
"Sure." I said.
"Okay, go have a seat and I'll be there shortly." She handed me a menu and I walked to a booth and sat down and sat my phone, keys and wallet on the table beside me and I looked through the menu.
"Colby, would you stop staring at her?" I heard a guy say, a bit loud but I'm sure he meant to whisper it. I looked up and saw a couple of teenage guys sitting at a table across from me. I smiled a little to myself. I found myself staring, but not at the blue eye cutie, but at the mystery guy. He was cute from behind. The waitress from the counter walked over.
"What can I get for ya, sweet cheeks?" She asked.
"Uh, a burger, fries and a strawberry milkshake." I said. She took the menu.
"I'll be back." She said. I nodded and sat there. I picked up my phone and decided to go through Instagram.
"Corey, you should go talk to her." I heard a guy say. I looked up and saw both of the guys from a few minutes ago looking at me.
"Can I help you guys?" I asked setting my phone down.
"Sorry." They said.
"It's fine. Just like stop staring at me." I said. They nodded and went back to talking more quietly and to each other. The waitress walked over and put my food and shake in front of me. "Thank you." I said.
"You're welcome, dear. Enjoy." She said and walked away. I started eating and going through Instagram until I heard footsteps stop at my table. I looked up and saw it was the two guys.
"Yes?" I asked after swallowing my bite.
"We just wanted to introduce ourselves. I'm Colby and this is Corey." The blue eyed cutie said. Corey just waved.
"I'm Riley." I said.
"Are you new to LA? We've never seen you here before and we come here a lot." Corey said.
"Uh, yeah. Just moved to town." I said.
"Nice, nice. Well if you want a tour some time you should hit me up." He said putting a number on a napkin and gave it to me. I looked up at him. "I have to get going. But hopefully I'll see a text from you soon." He smiled and walked out with Colby. I sat back and finished eating. I was contemplating whether or not if I want to call him. He's cute and all, but I'm not sure. I paid for my meal and I left. I got to the hotel and walked in and checked in and I walked up to my room with my stuff and I walked in and saw how big it is. I shut the door and sat on my bed and pulled my laptop out and turned it on. I took my jacket off and saw the napkin and I bit my lip and decided to text Corey. I put his number in and saved it and I texted him.
Riley: Hey, it's Riley from that diner. Ya know, the random girl you gave your number to 🤔
I locked my phone and I went to an apartment listing thing and I saw one I liked and I applied for it. After a few minutes my phone dinged. I saw a text from Corey. I unlocked my phone and went to the text.
Corey: Hey, and sorry that it seemed a bit...off...I just thought that you might like a tour guide for LA.
Riley: It's fine, I'd actually like that. Sorry if I seemed a bit off at the diner. I'm not used to cute guys coming up to me and talking to me.
I practically face palmed after sending it. Too late, the damage is done. I decided to watch something on Netflix so I put on Family Guy and I laid back. My phone dinged and I saw he texted back. I clicked on it and read it.
Corey: Why? You're insanely beautiful.
Riley: I never had guys come up to me. Not even in high school.
Corey: Do you want to hang out today?
Riley: Sure, I can tell you what hotel I'm at.
Corey: Alright.
Once I told him where he texted saying he was on his way. I was wearing yoga pants and a hoodie at this point. My phone dinged a little bit later and I saw it was Corey.
Corey: Hey, I'm here.
I got up and put on my slippers and grabbed my room key and I walked down to the lobby. I saw Corey with his back to me.
"Corey?" I asked. He turned to me and saw me and smiled. He had bags in his hand.
"Hey." He smiled. We walked to the elevator and pressed the button. I would've taken the stairs but he had bags with him. We got on and I clicked on the floor I'm on. I looked at him.
"So, what did you bring?" I asked.
"Well, I have snacks, movies, cards and some games." He said. I smiled and we got off and walked to my room and we walked in. I shut the door and he set the bags on the bed. "So, you can pick a movie and a snack." He said. I nodded and he dumped out everything from his bags. I sat down and looked through everything. I grabbed the Scooby-Doo movie and the bag of gummy worms. He put the movie in and sat beside me on the bed. We watched the movie and I slowly ended up cuddled up to him since it was cold in the room.
Corey's POV
After maybe an hour or two of movies and snacks I heard snoring and looked down at her. She was sleeping in my lap. She is so cute. I decided to take a picture of her. I wasn't gonna post it because I don't think she'd want me to post anything with her in it. I shut the movie off and pulled the blanket up and I closed my eyes. I haven't loved anyone since Devyn.
