"Clark, can you get that?" I pointed the jar at the highest shelf. He stood behind me and reached the container, then giving it to me. "Thanks."

"Welcome, love." He went back to the couch and watched the game on the television. I started making peanut butter.

I saw one city on the net since I've been looking for a job with higher salary. I wasn't contented with the salary I had, whenever I would buy something with the money I earned, all I had left was only enough for one person's needs.

"I saw another city on the internet," I said.

"Hmm? Is it far?"

"I think it's not that far. The city's name is Metropolis. Do you think I would get a job there as a pianist?"

"Of course you would. It's Metropolis."

I glanced at him, "Will you be willing to come with me to that city? It's alright if you don't want to."

"I will. I'll go with you anywhere, Emmie. Don't want anything to happen to you."

I chuckled at his response. I took my bread and sat beside Clark as he wrapped an arm around me. He asked, "When do you plan to go there?"

"I haven't even found a job there yet." I laughed. "If I found one then I'll start looking for us an apartment."

"I'll help you with that, then let's start saving money. I heard it's quite expensive there."

"How about you? You've been supportive of me in my career. What do you even want to do? Don't you want to find a job that's related to Journalism? It's what you took after all in college."

He took a sip of his coffee. "Not yet, love. I'm slowly starting to get information that could lead me to my past with these short-term jobs." He laughed at his own statement. "Besides, I actually took Journalism and will one day work as one. In that way, I could know what is happening in case someone needs my help."

I smiled at him. "That's so great! And that's also a good idea. I also saw on the internet that there's one company in Metropolis that creates great newspapers, stories, articles and such. That would be a great place for you to take a job."

"We'll see. But first, let's save money." He chuckled. "I don't want us to go there suddenly realizing everything was out of our finance."

I chuckled once again. "Then we'll live together there with our future ahead of us."

He kissed the side of my head. "Yup. Together in Metropolis."

My phone rung and it disrupted my rest. I groaned and embraced my pillow. "Bruce, can you answer it?" When I heard no reply I repeated, "Bruce." I turned to the other side and patted beside me, then I groaned once again, remembering that Bruce left early for a meeting. The phone kept ringing, and I covered my face with a pillow. I was having such a great slumber.

I reached for my phone on the side table and answered it in my raspy voice, "Hello?"

"I'm sorry did I wake you up?" said a familiar one.

My eyes suddenly opened, then blinked a lot of times from the sudden flash of light from the window. "No, no, no." I glanced at the digital clock. "It's okay. It's late anyway. Hi, Clark. Why did you call?"
