Robyn ripped at the top of a heavily tapped box. It opened up quickly at the force of her strength. Robyn, whom is not a fan of change, glanced out the window longingly, wishing she were back in Mexico. There wasn't much left to do now except for unpack and see what's around. Of course, she could have chosen to be rebellious and just not unpack her stuff. Exploring the house, hiding in closets, then jumping back out to re-pack something her mom set out once she's gone, as a joke, but who knows how that would end! Suddenly, Evelyn called Robyn to come downstairs while she set a heavy box on the floor. "Robyn, while I was out today getting groceries for our... new house, I saw a boy about your age skateboarding. I talked to him for a minute, and he said something about a skatepark down the street. You should go there and make some new friends!" Robyn's face twisted into something between embarrassment and anger. "Mom! I know how to make friends, please don't butt in. Look, I'm not going over to some stupid 'teen club' to skate and 'make new friends'. Just drop it... ok!?" "Now, Robyn, that was very rude and uncalled for. Ok, listen for once, so I can tell you that I'm just trying to help you because I know you! You'll stay in all day playing your games or something because you're too scared to go out ther-" "Scared!?" Robyn began for the door "See... mom. I'm not scared!" "Oh, no? Ok then, here's your phone and a bag I've packed. Your other stuff is in the garage. Have funnnn!" Evelyn shut the door in Robyn's face. It had been a trick! "Mom! Oh my gosh, I can't believe it, I knew she was sneaky, but that was a new low for her!" Robyn smiled, but then remembered that she was supposed to be angry. Huffing, she turned back to the door and said something in Spanish. "Hey, déjame volver! Mammmmá, eres imposible! No necesito tu ayuda para hacer amigos, así que puedes dejarme volver ahora!" (1)
