The Auction Night

Chapter Eight

Being with Amy and aunt Nora was amazing. Even though aunt Nora is not my mum's sister but her sister in law, it was very hard to know though when you are near them.  They are inseparable sisters. We went into the cinema to watch the movie but I felt sorry for those seating next to us because Amy and aunt Nora couldn't close their mouths for more than five seconds and whenever they were cautioned, the person that had the balls to talk went out of the cinema with a overly bruised ego. After two brave tries, every other person kept shut and didn't even try to get the security. From the time I entered Amy's car, I switched off my phone because I didn't want to entertain any calls from Aiden so I immediately switched it back on when we got out of the cinema.I saw that I had ten missed calls and fifteen messages from Aiden. I opened one and found out that his family members had arrived thirty minutes ago. 

"Shit! Amy, aunt Nora, can you drop me off at Aiden's house. I'm sorry but I won't be able to go shopping with you anymore, there's something that needs my immediate attention."

"Is it very bad darling? You've never lost an opportunity to go jewelry shopping with not to talk about going to the Italian restaurant that's your favorite.",aunt Nora said with a small frown and I winced. It was a certain bet that telling aunt Nora that I was married to a man that I have to divorce after three days and that his family members are around would end up leading to my mom marching over to Aiden's home tomorrow and that's not because she would disapprove of my action, in fact she is as opened minded as Amy but because she doesn't hide anything from my mom. Initially she'll promise not to tell my mom but when my mom asks about me, she'll sprout everything without knowing. 

"Mom she's finally decided to get a boyfriend and he's always wanting to be with him. Probably he asked her to come home and she's anxious to meet him." Amy said with a wink and my face flamed in embarrassment. Aunt Nora searched my face and then began to grin before frowning slightly.

"If that's so, then why is she going to him? He can always come here. Isn't that what she used to tell her other boyfriends to do?"

"Mum she doesn't want anyone to see him. She's staying with him every weekend and has been seeing him for three months now. I even think she loves him." Amy said innocently. 

"if that's the case then I'll just walk to the jewellery shop since it isn't far from here. Amy go drop her, bye." Aunt Nora said with a dismissing smile before walking away. We both walked to Amy's car and sat down but before she could drive off I turned towards her with a glare. 

"Why did you do that? Now my mum will be calling me every day waiting for me to tell her I am engaged." I said accusingly and she smiled.

"That was the only way to get her off your back and it also served as an inside joke for me. While you suffer for it, I'll lean back and watch the entertainment." Amy said with glee and I rolled my eyes. 

"Don't worry, everyday is for the thief but one day is for the owner." I replied and gained satisfaction from seeing her look confused. 

"What do you mean?" She began to sing as she looked at me and I smiled. It's only her that would think of Justin Bieber at anytime. 

"I mean that one day I'll hold something on you just like you always do to me; Capisce." I replied and she pouted. Then she something very unpredictable and began to play some of my favorite songs like; touch by little mix, guillotine by Jon Bellion, Polarize and Heathen by 21 pilots. We sang and danced to them and not long after, we found ourselves in front of Aiden's house and I took a large breath before getting out of the car. I didn't look back at Amy because I knew she would be smirking at my situation. 

I entered the house and noticed it was quiet. If they were around, shouldn't it. E noisy? Thinking I'd try my luck, I called for Aiden. 

"Aiden! Aiden! Sweetie I'm home." I screamed before going into the kitchen to get a drink of water. When there was no answer, I decided to make lasagna as I was in need of something to do. As I opened the fridge to get the stuff I needed, I felt someone touch my shoulder and I screamed. 

"Shit, I am ah... " he screamed back gas S he rubbed the back of his head and I became confused. Who the heck was he and what was he doing in my home. 

"Don't mind him, he's always been a nuisance. I'm Hazel, and he's Sean, it's nice to finally meet the newest addition to our family; Mrs Philips." the lady that hit his head said with a smile and I looked at her unsure of the truth. I guess she understood because he eyes suddenly lit up with fire and she screamed Aiden's name Ruth a loud voice that made me shiver. It t didn't take long for the remaining of them to crowd the kitchen. 

"I thought I've told you I hate people shouting in my home." Aiden said as he narrowed his eyes at her but she pointed at me in response and every one in the kitchen looked at me. 

"What have you told her about us? Anything at all?" She asked as she raised her eyebrow but he didn't look at her instead he turned his stormy eyes to me and I found myself in need to say something. 

"hey darling, I called for you immediately I got home. I'm sorry, I thought they were going to come later." I said and he shook his head. 

"we'll talk about that later. This is my annoying sister and her twin. It seems like you've been introduced and this are my parents, Steve and Eden Philips. Guys this is the lady I've been telling you of, Mrs Amelie Philips. Now that I've told you about her and vice versa, I'll like to chat with my wife." He said as he cocked his eyebrow and they all left unwillingly. Then he turned towards me. 

"Where did my baby go?" he asked as he began to walk towards me and I backed away from him but he continued his journey probably desperate to lessen the distance between us.

"I went out with Amy and her mom but I had to, if I didn't my mom would hear from aunt Nora and then the both of us will be in trouble because I'll have to tell her the truth and you don't want that to happen trust me." I said hoping he'd stop moving towards me but he didn't. 

"so...why did you switch off your phone?" he asked as he finally covered me against the counter and I gulped as he leaned towards me and rested his head on my neck, then began to tease me by licking my neck and nipping it a little. I wanted to tell him to stop but I couldn't because I wasn't sure if his family was outside listening to us. "you've been a bad girl too many times do I will have to punish you. Something I've been looking forwards to throughout today." he whispered into my ear before licking it. "Tonight, I wanted to sleep on a chair but now we will share the bed and you are banned from leaving home tomorrow. You'll experience first hand experience the meaning of annoyance as I'll leave you at home with my siblings. It'll be a miracle if you don't commit suicide before I come back." he said with a smirk before kissing my lips and walking out of the kitchen.
