“5 million dollars? 5 million and it’s going now … 1… 2… 3… and it’s gone. Amelie Richards is auctioned off for 5 million dollars to number 16.” Amy said gleefully as she risked a look at her most enchanting cousin a.k.a best friend.

The man who had obvious ties with Britain looked like he’d just stepped out of a playboy’s magazine as he walked forward towards the stage to get his prize for the weekend. Amy had to hold down her squeal as the handsome man helped her cousin off the stage and escorted her away from all the applause. She knew she was going to have to work hard to earn Amelie’s forgiveness but she did not regret doing what she did. It had been seven months since her cousin had ventured out of the house on a date and she was damned if she wouldn’t get her best friend back on her feet. She shouldn’t give up on happiness just because her first two attempts were miserable. Didn’t people always say the third attempt was lucky? If they were to judge from relationships then Amy would be the unlucky one because none of her relationships had ever lasted for more than five months where else Amelie’s shortest relationship which was her first lasted for two and a half years. Amy had never felt jealous of her cousin but she did know that if she didn’t know Amelie very well she might have hated her for being lucky.

Amelie tried her best to appear confident as the guy beside her escorted her to his car but she couldn’t stop the nervousness and anxiety from showing in her fingers as they trembled. All she could pray was that he didn’t notice her reaction to him. They walked into the darkness with the street light as their only source of illumination and it brought a creepy thought to her. Wasn't it always those kind of places that were used in horror movies? What if he was a sadist? Only he was aware of what he wanted her for throughout the weekend and that thought scared her shitless. Since they went out through the back door,it didn't take long for them to reach his car which was a freaking limousine. She wasn't really surprised really as he must have been swimming in money to pay that kind of amount for just a night.

The driver came down from the car and opened the door for them and from the gesture of the man who bought her she entered the car first. She sat down gingerly and looked at the man who was seated across her, holding his tablet. It was obvious he was absorbed in what he was doing and normally that fact alone was enough for her not to disturb him especially since she was intimidated by him but she found herself slightly irritated.

He bought her for a weekend and isn't telling her why she was needed nor was he removing the stupid mask from his head so she could see him! And to make it was he was ignoring her; who does that? Tired of trying to find answers to her questions she decided to put an end to the silence.

"can you please remove the mask and tell me your name? " she asked sweetly but was ignored. She waited for a while before asking again but he only looked at her for a while before turning back to what he was doing before. This time she lost all her patience and snapped at him.  "excuse me Mr I don't know who you think you are but I'm not going to be taken to wherever you think you are going just because you bought me. If we are to work together for this three days then I'll need your name and attention. I hate being ignorant and ignored! "

As she said that he looked at her and put down his tablet. Then he pressed a button and immediately the car stopped moving. The abruptness caused her to fly out of her sit and into his laps and slowly she looked up at him.

"who told you we were going to work together? You'll soon understand everything just be patient and wait till we reach our destination, okay? And if you talk again I'll have to punish you." the man said with a smirk and she gulped. What the hell was going on? And what was she supposed to freaking do?
