In Korean, there are two different ways to speak. Informal way is when you talk to your friends or people younger than you. Formal way is when you talk to adults(people older than you) or people that you met for the first time. I suggest you to focus on the formal way because it will be the best way to deliver your message to ANYONE. 

FRIENDS(INFORMAL)

ADULTS(FORMAL)


Hi(friends): 안녕 an-nyeong

Hi(adults): 안녕하세요 an-nyeong ha-seo


Bye(friends): 잘가 jal-ga

Bye(adults): 안녕히가세요 an-nug-hye-ga-seo


Thank you(friends): 고마워 go-ma-wo

Thank you(adults): 감사합니다 gam-sa-ham-mida


Sorry(friends): 미안해 mi-an-he

Sorry(adults): 죄송합니다 j-song-ham-mida


Yes(friends): 응 eong   *Huh?: 응? eong?

Yes(adults): 네 ne


No(friends): 아니 a-ni EX) Do you like this shirt? No.

No(adults): 아니요 a-ni-yo EX) Do you want to buy this shirt? No.


It's ok(friends): 괜찮아 gwen-chan-a EX) I am so sorry, are you ok? Yes, I am ok.

It's ok(adults): 괜찮아요 gwen-chan-a-yo EX) You sure you don't want this? Yes, I am ok.


I love you(friends): 사랑해 sa-lag-he

I love you(adults): 사랑해요 sa-lag-he-yo
