Chapter 11

Kailey's POV

I looked around the dark and empty space. I don't particularly remember falling asleep after we ate breakfast, but apparently I did otherwise I wouldn't be in complete darkness. I started to walk in a random direction only to run into an invisible wall. Rubbing my face as I pushed myself away from the wall, I noticed a faint outline of what seemed to be a barrier.

"What could possibly go wrong...?" I said to myself as I followed along the barrier wall. After about 5 minutes of the most anticlimactic walk ever, I finally saw a small white dot on the ground. Continuing on the path, the amount of white dots accumulated until the entire ground was stark white against the black surroundings.

Suddenly, I heard a scream echo around her. I yelped as something grabbed hold of my ankle. I tumbled to the ground and groaned as I looked down to my feet. I froze upon seeing the hand of a familiar girl.

"Kai.... Ley.... H-help.... Me...."

A bloody faced Cookieh was reaching out towards me with a face filled with agony. I shrieked as I crawled backwards away from the terrifying sight only to bump into the legs of someone else. I turned around, almost giving myself a whiplash, and wished I hadn't turned at all.

There, staring down at me was Fizzy. She looked down at me with dull lifeless eyes. That was when I realized that there was a noose around her neck and she was standing on an unstable chair.

"I'm sorry Kailey. I can't take it anymore..." Fizzy said as she swayed dangerously on the chair.

"No Fizzy! Stop-"

My ankle was once again grabbed and I tripped into the chair, pushing it out underneath of the brown haired girl. Fizzy choked as she struggled against the rope around her neck.

"W-WHY.... KAI.... LEY-! GAHHH!" Fizzy coughed out as tears streamed down her rapidly paling face. I was at a loss of words as I watched my friend suffocate helplessly.

"Kai.... Ley.... He.... P...." A voice said inside of my head, but I was too distracted to notice it. Fizzy started to stop struggling as her eyes rolled back into her head-

"KAILEY WAKE THE F*** UP OR ELSE I WILL SMACK YOU AWAKE."

Normal POV

Kailey jolted awake as cold water was splashed onto her. She panted as she looked at the person who threw the water on her. It was an irritated Cookieh.

"Glad you could finally wake up." Haley said as she looked over the side of the couch at the confused girl.

"What? What happened?" Kailey asked as she sat up. Teresa passed her a spare towel and she dried herself. Cookieh sighed as she sat down.

"I'm not sure myself, but from the looks of it, half of us were just kidnapped. Or something. I'm not sure. They might still be in the dorms. We already informed Thimo of the situation. He told us to stay put for now though..." Cookieh said as Kailey glanced around the room. She saw that Badge, Evie, and Fizzy were missing from the room.

"Were we all asleep or something?" Kailey asked rubbing her head.

"From what I remember, a sleeping gas was released in the room. There are still traces of it in the room, but it's not enough to have much effect." Teresa said as she sat down on her chair.

"How long have I been out?" Kailey asked.

"You've been out the longest in our group; about 3 hours. Haley was the first to wake up." Cookieh sighed as she grabbed her sketch diary. She turned it around so that Kailey could see what was on the page.
